Is Britney Spears Bulimic? Sources Say 'Yes!'

It's just one thing after another for pop princess Britney Spears. Not only does she have to deal with the constant media attention, she now has to deal with her "friends" speaking out about her private life - especially a friend coming out to inform the world that the star is bulimic.

Star Magazine spoke to a unnamed source and was informed that Britney Spears has been suffering from bulimia for quite a long time. According to the source, she has been bulimic since the age of 16.

In a interview with Star Magazine, the source revealed:

"She'd pig out on junk food - chips, candy, cola, and ice cream - and then she'd feel so guilty she'd go make herself throw up."

"The only thing that made her stop was when she got pregnant."

Bulimia is also known as Bulimia Nervosa and is a eating disorder. The condition is when a person will binge on food and then intentionally purge (aka. throw up). People with this condition may also use laxatives, enemas, diuretics or other medication to help get rid of the food.

Her bulimia is also working against her treatment in rehab (she is currently in Promises Treatment Center for undisclosed reasons).

"She is on medication for bipolar disorder, but the pills are not staying in her system because she is bulimic and is throwing them up before they can help her!" stated the source.

Bipolar Disorder, also known as manic-depression, is a condition that causes the person to have unpredictable moods. The person can be happy at one minute and then the next, be raging mad with little or no stimulation. Most people diagnosed with bipolar have a "black or white" theory to everything, which means that they either see things as either positive or negative - but never in the middle.

Unfortunately, Britney Spears is also rebelling against treatment by letting everything that she is told go in "one ear and out the other". It doesn't seem that she is taking rehab as serious as she should.

As the old saying goes, "If you make your bed hard, your the only one that will have to lie in it". There is truth in that saying, but unfortunately - her children may suffer as well. Based on the recent events and information that has recently surfaced, Britney Spears may be in for more trouble than she expects.

Bipolar disorder does not cause a person to be "happy at one minute and then the next, be raging mad with little or no stimulation." It also does not cause "a black or white theory to everything, which means that they either see things as either positive or negative - but never in the middle." Those symptoms sound more like the symptoms of borderline personality disorder - which is not the same as bipolar.

I feel for Britney .She's young and she has had her name and life all over the world ,she's been slashed and ridiculed in public.I wish people would stop 'enjoying' writing bad things about her.I think it is terrible a mother can lose her children .Just give her a break and she'll make it .
