Is Bux.To PTC a Scam?

A Review on Paid to Click Programs that Show How to Earn Extra Income

Noel Galvez
During crisis, people are looking for ways to increase or earn extra income. A person reading an ad of a program wherein he doesn't have to pay anything but he could just expect to earn income is very attractive. Multiply that by the millions and you can have a huge potential target market.

Here, I will try to show you, from my experience, how to spot a scam. I will also show you which ones I have tried. Actually, this is a continuing study, so please come back from time to time for updates.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A PAID TO CLICK PROGRAM (PTC)
If you have spare time and would like to join paid to click programs wherein you get paid by reading ads, do the following before giving out your information:
1. Check your favorite search engine and type: "is (website) a scam?"
2. How much does the program pay per ad viewed and how much do they charge the advertisers? If they promise to pay you $200 per ad yet they charge the advertisers $20 per 1,000 page views, then it is not a stable company. They won't be able to pay you so saying that they are the highest paying company per click could only mean they're trying to make you feel good while you part with your money.
3. How long does it take before a person gets paid? If you think it's worth the wait, then it's up to you.

A REVIEW ON 100EUROMAILS.COM

I joined 100euromails.com two months ago but I already had a feeling that it is a scam, because I could reach around 100,000 euros in around 270 days. I emailed them, saying that I won't pay anything, but just to know whether they would deliver or not, I would keep on clicking and reading their ads. I never got a reply. A few weeks ago, when I tried to log in to the site, I got redirected because the site got suspended. So, Is 100euromails.com a scam? Definitely!

A REVIEW ON BUX.TO

Bux.to looks like a promising program as there are a lot of testimonials showing that people do get paid. When you look up google with the keywords " is bux.to a scam ", you will find a lot of comments about it. But unlike many other Paid to Click programs (PTC), there are those who say that Bux.to really delivers.

If you look deeper into the complaints, you will see that when a member requests for a cash out, it takes longer than expected. Bux.to says that: "You can request for payment once you're account balance is at least $10.00. Your payment will be processed and issued via AlertPay or Bux.to card within 30 business days for premium and 60 business days for standard members. You can only request one payment at the time."

Most of the complaints show that some members are getting impatient as they could either be upgraded members who only have to wait for 30 business days, or regular members who should only wait for 60 days. But some of those who have posted negative messages, saying that Bux.to is a scam, would later on recant what they have said because after a few months, they would eventually get their income, others through their Bux.to MasterCard. They would then say that they were just impatient.

So, if Bux.to fails to give the payments within the given time frame, does it mean that Bux.to is a scam as it fails to show that you can earn extra income? I don't think so. As long as they pay, for me, they are legitimate. However, they really have to update their Terms of Service (TOS) and say that it really may take more time to give out the payments.

I read a complaint saying that the person bought x referrals. The number of page views of the referrals consistently declined until it completely stopped on the fourth month. That is why the person says that Bux.to is a scam. This is my analysis: If a page view income is $0.01 for regular members and $0.0125 for upgraded members, and the minimum requirement before cashout is $10, it means that a regular member, who only gets to click around 10 ads, would have to wait for 100 days before asking to get paid. An ordinary member might think that reaching $10 without having to pay for anything is exciting at first, until a few weeks have already passed and he still hasn't reached the middle of the race. This is where the regular member without referrals would start to lose heart and quit. Anyway, he didn't pay anything. My best clicker stopped at 319 page views. But if some referrals have their own referrals, I think their excitement would continue until the actual waiting time for the cashout. So, if Bux.to referrals click less every week, does that mean that Bux.to is a scam as it fails to show in this case that you can earn extra income? I don't think so. It even shows that real people with different levels of excitement are clicking the ads.

Other complaints show that Bux.to is a scam because this paid to click program allegedly invalidates an account, thus, forfeiting whatever amount of money a member has poured into the company. If you read their terms and conditions, you will see that Bux.to audits the payments requests before actually sending it out. They have to check whether a person has signed up multiple times to try to fool the system, adding more referrals to himself, thereby increasing the number of pages viewed within 30 seconds. This doesn't only cheat Bux.to but also the advertisers who pay just to have their ads viewed by thousands of active Bux.to members.
So, if Bux.to invalidates an account, does that mean that Bux.to is a scam as it fails to show in this case that you can earn extra income? I don't think so.

Some say that when they advertise on Bux.to, their credits, like 1,000 page views, get used up within 15 minutes and so they think it is a scam. I, too, invested on 1,000 member visits at $19.10. I got an email thanking me for the placement of advertisement. Then, after around 20 minutes, I got another email saying that my credits have all been used up. My initial reaction was I got upset, because I was thinking that Bux.to just got my money. Then, I tried to click on an ad on my "Surf Ads" window and found out that there are a lot of people clicking the same ad. And when I refresh the page, the number of page hits of an ad quickly increases. I did my math and found out that it only takes 1,000 people to click a 30-second ad to deplete my credits in less than 1 minute. Since there are lots of ads, not all those online would click on my ad at the same time. So it took 20 minutes, or the average time that an upgraded member takes to finish all the available ads (I get to see more than 25 ads a day), to use up all my credits.
So, if Bux.to ads are clicked more quickly than we think, does it mean that Bux.to is a scam? My math definitely doesn't say so.

HISTORY (OR MY STORY)

I joined Bux.to on May 22, 2008.

On June 9, 2008, I paid $98 for 100 referrals and was given a Cashback Bonus of $5, which could only be withdrawn together with the total amount I would request for at the proper time.

Here are my statistics:
My Website Visits: 1,368
My Number of Referrals: 101
# of Referral Website Visits: 22,515
# of Credit/Debit: $ 5.24 (including $5 from the Cashback Bonus)
Account Balance: $303.2450
Total Amount Paid: $ 0.00

On Wednesday, July 30, 2008, I requested to be paid. The amount I am expecting is $302.94. The status shows that it is pending audit.

In almost 2 months, my ROI became 300%! However, the effective return on investment will be known only when I actually get my loaded Bux.to Mastercard. So, if others say that it took them 4 months before they got their payment, that means my effective return on investment is at 51.57% per month.
Not bad.

So now, I am writing this article so we could all watch if Bux.to is really a scam, as time will tell if Bux.to is a legitimate company, or just one of the hundreds of companies who try to steal our money.

If you want to try to study it with me without having to pay anything, you may join by going to http://buxto.bigsound.com . Thanks!

Is bux.to a SCAM?SURE it is...the reasons?1st i'm waiting for a payment for more than 1 year.2nd they ONLY pay members with $10 requests or new members (like SCAMMERS do).3rd they are allways changing their TOS.4rd their company is located in a OFFSHORE, so they have steal US in thousands or millions.5th they are the king of bots, meaning that members that buy referrals, see them STOP clicking at the same time... Is this enough?
For me yes, so i've pressed a complaint to IC3.gov and EUROPOL(because some members of bux.to are from Europe)

I'm stuck with 10$ for more than 5 months and I have more than 1500$ in my account. With 104 refs, I earn about 10$/day. The first time I've signed up in BUX.TO I was wondering when will I have atleast 10$ and cashou the money, when the time arrived I cashed out immediately and got stuck with only 10$. The first time I said I'll cashed out and give up, soon it became interesting and I have 10$ in "Pending Audit". :((.

I did the same thing as you - I started on Bux to check out its legitimacy back in February. I requested my first payout in March, and just now *finally* got paid. Its been a heck of a lot more than 30 business days - but the point is I did get paid. Today, I wrote up my findings - check it out: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1077159/paid_to_click_websites_cash_cow_or.html

The business model here is simply not sustainable.

Thanks for the comments! To recap, I asked for a cashout on July 30, 2008. The amount was $302.94. Today, September 1, 2008, the status is still "Pending Audit". I know that the usual complaint is that bux.to processes the payment slowly, so I guess the waiting time is normal as we are just on the 1st month. However, this is a premium membership wherein paid members are asked to wait for 30 days.

Today, my website visits= 1,654, and my 101 referrals have visited 30,059 sites. Total account balance today is $401.12.
