Is Charlie Sheen Crazy?

Is Charlie Sheen crazy? Is the guy absolutely nuts or what? Don't say the thought hasn't crossed your mind because that would only make you crazy, too. Charlie Sheen has catapulted his image from "a little bit off" to "off the charts" within several weeks. Sheen, who has endured some large accusations concerning his drug use, has been on television and in print over the course of the last several weeks following the cancellation of his show on CBS. Has it been good publicity? Many people will say that "any publicity is good publicity." I can't imagine that has been the case with this train wreck of a public relations image overhaul for the worse for Sheen.

"Two and a half Men" was dropped by CBS after Sheen blasted the creator of the show. The Charlie Sheen rant, or so it has been called, was enough for CBS to pull the plug on the top ranked comedy on network television.
Sheen then proceeded to follow up with interviews on various network and internet media shows where he put forth an image that could only be considered "sane" by the "crazy" people in the world. Was Sheen acting "crazy" or does the shoe actually fit? Is Sheen being theatrical just to be theatrical or does he actually and sincerely lead a life of self-indulgent behaviour and hardcore partying?

It's tough to know the answer to the question, "Is Charlie Sheen crazy or nuts?" How are we to know what Charlie Sheen actually thinks or if his recent television interviews are legitimate or meant to stir up publicity to make the guy a few more bucks? If it's for publicity, the guy is certainly digging his own "career grave." I can't imagine his career will ever recover from such a horrible set of circumstances as he has faced over the last few months.

It's one of those surreal moments where people are collectively holding their breath and hoping the guy is just putting on a show. But how bad is his judgment if he thinks this is actually funny or what people want to see?

There are some who are completely with Charlie Sheen and his "high on life and other drugs" attitude. But how can a father of several children sincerely believe he is doing what is in the best interest of his kids by sporting such an attitude? Let's just say the guy is acting like a single dude with zero responsibilities. In that aspect, I believe there is no denial the guy is absolutely crazy. Crazy for not being completely or "all there" to support his kids 100%. Things change when you have kids and have responsibilities to those children to make 100% sure those kids are raised in a protected and positive atmosphere. I don't think anyone would agree that Charlie is providing such an atmosphere if his most recent television interviews are any indication of what he's up to.

I personally find it quite scary the guy has kids and those kids will see what kind of guy their father is one day.
I am not one of those guys who believes that celebrities or athletes should be role models to kids that aren't their own. But I will say that celebs have an individual responsibility to their own children, as do we all, to be there and be sober and good parents. In that regard, I believe Charlie Sheen is crazy for allowing his life of self-indulgent actions to come between himself and the proper raising of his kids. I'm sure he has decent intentions and loves his kids much like we all do-but the proof is in the fact that he is quite willing to leave those kids in the hands of people who aren't their parents for extended periods of times while he allegedly parties. There's not excuse for that in my opinion. The guy has a right to lead his own life-except when that life interrupts what should be a semi-normal upbringing for his kids. I don't know the guy nor care to. But it's hard to watch someone self-destruct when his kids need him to be there for more than just financial support. Kids are fragile and Sheen doesn't appear to care.

I am sure single people might have a different take on the whole, "is Charlie Sheen crazy or nuts" theory. Married people with children will probably have a different view point. Somewhere along the way Charlie Sheen seemingly forgot to grow up and mature into a person responsible enough to have kids. He's certainly not the only one who did that-but he's probably one of the more visible. For that, Charlie Sheen is crazy to proceed with such a life or entitlement. He's definitely in charge of his own life and he certainly wants people to be aware of that. Nobody can tell him any different. But at the same time, we all can disagree and come to a consensus that Charlie Sheen is a little more than just crazy.
