Is Cleaning Your House Taking Up Your Weekends?
Learn These Simple Tips to Tidy Up Fast and Free Up Your Free Time!
To organize your bathroom or bathrooms as the case may be, it is a big help when you set a limit on how many items and products you will allow to accumulate on the counter. If you never allow the limit that you choose to be exceeded then you will find that you will never have a cluttered bathroom counter top again while making it easier to clean and to keep clean as well. For the products that you decide to keep on the counter top, place a basket on the counter and arrange the items neatly into the basket. Now if you want to clean the counter top then simply lift the basket and voila`! You can clean it up without the hassle of rearranging anything again! I have found that I save about an hour in the bathroom from just this simple thing alone!
If you use any kind of cloth to wash your face each day then make a habit of when you finish with your face, before putting the wash cloth in the laundry bin to wet it, wring it out and wash out the bowl of the sink and everything around it right then and there. If you do this each and every day when you wash your face, you will never have build up of dirt in your sink, and you will never end up having to scrub it. Another big time saver!
For a glass shower door then simply keep a squeegee in the shower area at all times. You can even do as a I do and hang it up on a hook right inside the shower door on one of those suction type of hooks. Every time you shower simply pick up that squeegee and wipe off the water on the door. It will keep the glass looking clean and there will not be a buildup of dirt and soap scum on it, again allowing you to avoid having to scrub it. Time saver!
Did you know that shower gel does not leave a large build up of soap scum? Using that instead of bar soap can help to keep your shower and bath tub stay clean for longer.
When cleaning the kitchen I have learned to clean as I go. I never leave a single dish or glass in the sink overnight! I always wash my dishes immediately after using them. Immediately after washing the dishes I take the dish cloth or sponge and wipe down the counter tops and stove top which takes less than a minute. Again, this will save a lot of time later on. If there is a spill somewhere, I wipe it up right away and avoid having anything dry on the counter surfaces which would later require scrubbing. This small amount of effort eliminates a huge mess and a lot of work later on.
These few tips that my friend gave me has saved me a lot of work and frustration and has freed up my weekends so that now I no longer feel as if I work seven days a week! Try them and see if they make a difference for you as well.
