Is CM Punk a One Hit Wonder?
John Cena told CM Punk that he needs to win at SummerSlam or he will be remembered as a one hit wonder. Part of what Cena said is true. Punk does need to win at SummerSlam. Punk needs to win at SummerSlam because the WWE allowed him to leave the company with the WWE Championship. Now that Punk has returned he needs to remain Champion. If Punk loses at SummerSlam, his win at Money In The Bank will seem pointless. If Punk happens to lose at SummerSlam he will not be remembered as a one hit wonder.
Punk has already proven that he is not a one hit wonder. Throughout his career with the WWE Punk has captured the Intercontinental Championship, the World Tag Team Championship, the ECW Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship three times, and the WWE Championship. Besides capturing multiple Championships within the company, Punk is currently the only Superstar to win back to back Money In The Bank Ladder Matches. Those accomplishments should be enough to prove that Punk is not a one hit wonder, even if he loses to Cena at SummerSlam.

Post a CommentI don't really see him as a one hit wonder. I think people may be behind him for awhile. Response to your comment - I haven't been to the Baltimore Aquarium in forever. :( I felt bad for Vince on TV, but I'm hoping Trips will continue to do a good job! It's a big change. I think Vince is eventually going to step down for real though.
