Is Corporate Fascism in America Inevitable? the Bush/Cheney/Pelosi Legacy

Bush/Cheney Support Corporate Fascism & Pelosi Abuses Legislative Authority

Robbrian
What Reagan supported from the Nixon era: supply side economics (The Chicago School Mantra), smaller government, private sector assumption of public sector functions, Bush I constrained somewhat but did not seriously attempt to heal the sore. Clinton tried but gave into corporate fascism especially in; trade policy, pharmaceuticals and energy fields where he shied from doing battle over NAFTA, Hillarys' national health care proposal and, would not seriously fund alternative renewable energy strategies.

It was left to Bush Jr, to play "his dumbness" and allow the neo-cons led by Podhertz, et. al.; Rumsfeld and Cheney, et. al. who collaborated/conspired to accelerate the dismantling of Constitutional rights and the role of Congress. They oversaw the privatization of government, enrichment of cronies, impoverishment of the middle class, the criminal initiation of war, the Patriot Act, and the creation of more national debt than all their predecessors combined. This list is not exhaustive.

Each item in this list represents an opportunity for growth of the fascist sore and Bush has assured his criminal co-conspirators that its pus would run like a torrent paralyzing all attempts to excise the sore, until there was no opposition from the usual curative interceptors; the law, the media, the legislature, or we the prople.

His ilk professed that if they could, and they did, keep the people wondering how to make it from payday to payday rather than worrying about the elimination of a few rights...by spreading fear and the need for security... there would be no opposition.

For the Bushites the rewards were unfettered access to riches through oligopolistic and monopolistic pricing of gas, energy, food, medical care and insurance, pharmaceuticals, etc. But also they enriched themselves from trillions of tax dollars through no-bid military, national/local security, and administrative contracts.

If only the media had not been co-opted by the million dollar salaries and associated perks, such as access to the "movers and shakers" within the Bush administration, we would have a Nixon/Clinton event by now (investigation leading to impeachment). However, any hint of real investigative excellence to uncover the fascist world within the Administration was met with ostracism at the worst or no comment at best. Review the scorning of Greg Palast. http://www.gregpalast.com

Thus, we have witnessed from the mighty media, the smothering blather called news coverage of white women in peril and black men gone bad. It would be helpful to analyze the ratio of print and TV coverage of these non-events to the occasional coverage of unconstitutional and criminal acts committed by the Administration. Wiretapping by the telecons, dilution of habeas corpus, lying about the need to go to war, etc.

Similarly with the Congress, along with the voter, have been co-opted by a Speaker who's fears of initiating impeachment investigations are silly when directly related to preserving Constitutional justice. She continues to ignore the impeachment mandate reflected in the '06 election by the PEOPLE:

1. The Speaker fears being in-charge of a failed effort to impeach Bush/Cheney and a public backlash which could negatively affect the outcome of the '08 Presidential race.

2. The Speaker has concocted a very weak argument that says she must do the Peoples' legislative work, minimum wage, etc. which according to her, have a higher priority than the contentious deliberations involved with impeachment procedures which address the trashing of our constitution. This is so much bull shittake mushrooms.

Perhaps the following is a stretch but we the people may need to raise the issue of the Speaker and her Majority Whip being guilty of misfeasance in office, "the abuse of legislative authority." Because what they have done by taking impeachment off the table, is to deny the people constitutional remedies addressing perceived high crimes and misdemeanors committed by Bush/Cheney, et al. These perceptions warrant an investigation which could lead to an indictment to impeach, but first we need the investigations just as was done in Clinton v the U.S.

There is little doubt that the following would apply:

Bush/Cheney, et.al, should be indicted for, illegal wiretapping, misuse of the CIA, perjury, bribery, obstruction of justice, and other abuses of executive power. Bush/Cheney, et. Al, have acted in a manner contrary to their trust as president and vice president, respectively, and subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice, and to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.

Can the Speaker effectively render void a portion of the Constitution? Under what authority can she deny the American people access to a constitutional remedy that punishes violations of Constitutional Law? If she has not voided this access, then what has she done since impeachment is not available to us and the above indictment lingers in Chairman Conyers' office.

So here we are, for the next 12 months, we are doomed to watching the fascist sore grow and fester, unabated and the pus runneth over contaminating and co-opting all attempts to honor our Constitution.

  • Corporate fascism is destroying the American dream
  • Congressional cowardice aids and implicitly fosters the Bush/Cheney sell-out to big money.
  • Pelosi/Hoyer deny you access to Constitutional remedies that redress high crimes and misdemeanors
The Bush/Cheney Administration has, created more debt in 7 years than all the Presidents who ever served this nation.

The Bush/Cheney Administration is the only administration to cut taxes during war time, without mandating an excess profits tax.

At the same time learning more about how corporations have worked as engines for imperialism before (East India Trading Company for example)it gets very trivial indeed to work out why political "leaders" desire fascist states to facilitate imperial drives. A command economy like ours, with a handful of mafiabosses (Krupps, Rockefellers amongst others) running monopolized sectors of the economy, is needed to make wars for empire since liberal democratic states are often pacifist and hard to manage.

For those who have studied history what`s happening today is not new, or at least it shouldn`t be. We are kept in the dark about the nature of plundering exhibited by the empires we inhabit, but the same traits are clearly evident in the Roman Empire, and in all the European empires that grew up just a few hundred years ago.
Even more to the point the tendency towards being a plundering, or pirate state, was highly evident in the case of Nazi- Germany, which plundered fantastic amounts

"Fascism should more precisely be called corporatism." Benito Mussolini.

    He should know, shouldn`t he?

In other words if corporations, understood as merged finance capital and institutions, control the world, we live in global fascism.

It makes sense then that democracy is just theatre for keeping the plebs distracted, while nothing is decided, either by the politically appointed or the electorate. Why you would believe that any voting action would make an impact on these problems isn`t too clear to me, considering the vote frauds that took place under Bush and the media swooning at the anointed corporate candidates fooling the gullible.

While normal people (plebs) have legitimate concerns and no safety under corporate (imperial) rule, the corporatists (imperialists) are busy ripping them off, and plundering the provinces. Once you see how fascism grew out of older forms of imperialism it gets alot easier to understand as a phenomenon.. At the same time learning more about

Fascism is when websites tell you to revise your content because you don't have the
"right" opinion. You keep revising it and they keep rejecting it and eventually you get
tired and they hope you go away. Fascism is already upon us. Now, censorship on
the Internet is getting ready to destroy freedom. I guarantee you that Americans need
to start paying attention because we deserve better.

Ultimately, the American public has the power over corporations and government...they need to exercise that power. Easy to regain control? No...but this can be done, and it is our responsibility to do so. The Constitution can only be hi-jacked if we allow it. A one-day national strike and refusal to buy products manufactured through outsourced jobs would gain corporate attention. Voting most everyone out who currently holds office, or electing third party candidates, would certainly gain the attention of our politicians. Small steps, yes. Rather than just talk about change, the American people have to do something about it. Personally, I'm not sure we have the will, and corporations and politicians know this.
