Is Foreman Really Leaving House?

Seventy-eight percent of House viewers polled believe Foreman will sign on for another year at Princeton-Plainsboro according to a poll on Fox's House website. In the May 15 episode, "The Jerk," Foreman learns that someone has sabatoged his interview at New York Mercy Hospital. He, of course, initially accuses House who, of course, vehemently denies do so. As the episode continues, Foreman acuses everyone in sight including Cuddy, Chase and Cameron. Cuddy acuses Wilson of being behind the sabatoge then does her best to persuade Foreman to stay including offering him double his salary and heading his own diagnostic unit. After some thought, he turns her down. Princeton-Plainsboro is buzzing with who sabatoged Foreman. Wilson even tries to trick Cameron into admitting she did it, but she sees right through him. Only Chase knows the truth. House may have fooled everyone else, but he did not fool Chase. When confronted by Chase, House grins and admits he sometimes forgets why he hired Chase to begin with. Chase suggests House simply tell Foreman he doesn't want him to leave. "It would make him feel like maybe you aren't evil," Chase insists. "He needs that." House, of course, does the opposite instigating an assignment which will keep Foreman working all night.

A spoiler for the upcoming finale, which airs May 29, finds Foreman preparing for his last day of work at Princeton-Plainsboro. Chase acuses House of trying to win Foreman over. House eventually decides on a course of action that is "a very rash decision that affects the whole team."

But will Foreman really leave House? I think he'll stay. Omar Epps plays the character wonderfully and comes across as a credible devil's advocate for House. Over and over again, we've heard him say that he needs to leave so that he doesn't turn into House. And while the concern is valid, he also knows deep down that though House is an ass, he is also an incredible doctor and diagnostician. As Cuddy said, House is the best doctor Princeton-Plainsboro has.

Most of the spoilers and fans have Foreman staying at Princeton-Plainsboro. And then there is this, according to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello:

Question: I read somewhere that Foreman is resigning on House. Is this true, and does this mean Omar Epps is leaving the show?- Rachel M.

Ausiello: Yes, Foreman - fearful that he's morphing into a House clone - will quit. But no, Omar Epps is not leaving the show.

Now there's new twist. Foreman may be leaving Princeton-Plainsboro after all, but not leaving the show. Tune in Tuesday.
