Is Your Glass Half Full or Half Empty?

Jean Davis

Do you know of someone who is constantly whining and complaining?

They never see the glass half full.

They seem to focus on the negative things in life.

Maybe no one told them of the golden rule.

They would not want to listen to complaints and whining all day.

There is no good to come from that at all.

It doesn't change any of the circumstances but it can make a listener's spirit fall.

Something may have happened to them earlier in life to make them have that point of view.

Just make sure when you're in their company their attitude doesn't rub off on you.

Offer encouragement and a smile can't hurt.

Maybe it will start a trend.

Wouldn't it be nice if that whiner and complainer changed and became a lasting friend?

All it takes is more focusing on the positive.

There are plenty of good things happening every day.

Enough to crowd out the negative thoughts and keep a smile here to stay.

The glass will appear half full instead of half empty.

It's all in a person's perception of things.

If everyone will try the smile for a day they will be surprised at the response it brings.
