What the heck was Beck's rally at the National Mall in Washington really about? Okay, we know that Beck says he wanted to reclaim the civil rights movement, according to Glen politics have taken over civil rights. Why did Glen Beck hold his rally on the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King's I have a dream speech? He says, basically it was a coincidence. Glen Beck did an interview with Chris Wallace of Fox News, and during that interview Beck said that he estimated 300,000 to 600,000 folks attended the rally because they are not happy with the way things are; fair enough Beck.
Does that mean that people believe that Beck has the answers? Maybe folks are searching for more, inspiration perhaps, we all know that getting biblical is something Beck has been doing a lot of lately. Beck told Wallace during his interview, "We [people/citizens] need to stand in the burning bush..." Even Moses did not stand in the burning bush. The burning bush represented God's presence. Okay, is Beck trying to preach or is he a wolf in sheep's clothing?
Anyway, a baffled looking Wallace went on to ask, "Who is Glenn Beck?" The response, "I'm a dad, [Beck replied casually] a concerned...citizen trying to find the truth." Watch the interview. Glen Beck makes some valid points, and many things he says makes moral sense. It is hard to pin point what it is about him [Beck] that makes him so interesting that millions want to follow him and listen to his thoughts and opinions.
Finally, are Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin preparing for a National Ticket In 2012? This may be just rumors; according to Beck, he has absolutely no desire to be the president of the United States of America. In addition, why shouldn't we believe him, all he wants to do is to walk through a burning bush, stand in the fire and find the truth. One can only imagine what it would be like to have Beck and Palin in office running the country.
