Is Glenn Beck Suffering from Aspartame Poisoning?

Glenn Beck's Symptoms Match the Disease

Glenn Beck's followers know that the popular political entertainer has been suffering from health problems for quite a while. His eyes are suffering from a condition that his doctors label "macular dystrophy". He is starting to feel numbness in his hands and his arms. He is having trouble with his voice. Earlier this week, co-host Pat Gray mentioned that his partner may be suffering from the "Rumsfeld Plague," or aspartame disease. Although Pat mentioned it dismissively on his program earlier this week, the truth is, aspartame poisoning is all-too-familiar to many people, including myself. The numb skin, changes in voice, and eye deterioration are all symptoms of aspartame poisoning. There is good news for Glenn Beck, however. In many cases, the problem is reversible.

Glenn Beck's Problems

Glenn Beck announced his vision problems earlier this year. His doctors believed that he had macular dystrophy. They told him that he could go blind within a year, or his vision could remain. Meanwhile, Glenn Beck's viewers watched him as the thickness of his lenses grew over time. About a month ago, Beck mentioned that his hands were turning numb; although he tried to brush his problems off, they just continued to get worse.

Some of the symptoms of aspartame poisoning include blindness in one or both eyes, decreased vision, trouble with contact lenses, headaches and migraines, dizziness, confusion, severe slurring of speech, numbness of the limbs, insomnia, and gradual weight gain. In total, there are more than 92 symptoms that are associated with consuming aspartame. Glenn Beck does not hide the fact that he consumes soda in large quantities. Last week, he specifically mentioned that he drinks Coke Zero. Coke Zero contains aspartame.

My Experience with Aspartame Poisoning

My experience with aspartame poisoning began several years ago. When I was in the military, I started to consume large quantities of Diet Coke in order to stay awake on watches and during times when I was unable to get a full night's sleep. When I left the military, my addiction to Diet Coke continued. Over time, my memory started to degrade. I couldn't remember the simplest things, such as the name of my roommate, where I put my keys, or children that I worked with in the day care I taught at. I thought I was getting Alzheimer's disease while I was still in my 20s. After a little bit of research, I discovered that aspartame could be the cause (memory loss is another symptom of aspartame poisoning). I started drinking regular Coke instead and stopped consuming aspartame. My symptoms started to go away almost immediately.

The Future

If Glenn Beck's doctors discover that he truly does have aspartame poisoning, the chances of his health returning are fairly good. I have listened to interviews of and have spoken to other people, such as myself, who once suffered from aspartame poisoning. One person had symptoms of multiple sclerosis; once she stopped consuming aspartame, she started to regain her health. A friend of mine used to black out between 30 and 40 times a month; after she stopped consuming aspartame, the frequency of her blackouts lessened considerably (she has other health problems that cause her to still black out on occasion now, about seven or eight times a year now). While I'm not sure if Beck's vision will come back to its prior levels, his voice and skin numbness should return to normal once he changes his beverage of choice.

As for Coke, the food industry, and other people involved in selling aspartame are concerned, they may not be so lucky. Beck may see fit to expose the corruption behind the approval of aspartame, and the problems that consuming it might cause. If the tea parties are any indication of the power Beck has, the days of aspartame may be limited.
