Is Global Warming a Farce ?
A Serious Issue or Political Maneuver?
Question one, Global warming is debatable and there are many scientists on the farce side of the debate, perhaps far more than are on the reality side of the debate. Why then have the politicians who have studied law, not meteorological science, booted out those scientists who have valid points against the reality of Global Warming? Why have they only adopted the scientists who say global warming is not a farce? Is it because fear mongering is one way to lead the people like sheeple? By promoting a fear tactic, then standing ground saying we need to solve this problem, leads millions into a position of support out of fear and hopes that this person would do something about it. A prime example is Al Gores book and movie. He adopted the issue as a fact, without question, and without addressing any of the questions or scientific data that has been presented by the many scientists who claim global warming a farce ?
If our government and political leaders really honestly believe that global warming is a reality, and with our technology we have today, we could eliminate the use of fossil fuels, then WHY don't they take action to replace fossil fuels? Yes, they could do this, we could fund a replacement, but the oil companies are paying big bucks in lobby money, not to mention a number of politicians who have inherited oil industries, so are they concerned about us, the money, or do they know that Global warming is a farce anyway?
I have a question of my own about global warming. Everyone knows Siberia is a very cold place, and a place of exile for Russian Dissidents. There have also been found the frozen remains of Mammoth Elephants that have been frozen so fast, they are standing on their feet and have tropical food still undigested in their stomachs. Are you seeing the same question in this fact that I am? If global warming were such a bad thing, then why was life so successful when the earth was that warm in the past, that tropical food was found in Siberia for mammoth elephants? Who was burning fossil fuels back then to cause the global warming? Maybe Fred Flintstone was not just a cartoon character after all!!! Wow, this brings up another question, if Siberia was a tropic back then, and we know life existed on the rest of the earth during the same time frame, then maybe the whole earth was like a green house and supported massive vegetation! If this is the case, maybe we should all drive bigger cars and bring the muscle cars back! this could be the answer to the earth supporting the population expansion.
I don't know the answer, when I think about the mammoth elephants though, the thing that scares me isn't a gradual global warming as much as it is the fact that something in nature caused a rapid cold snap, so fast that it froze animals in their tracks, large animals froze so solidly through and through that the food in their stomachs froze before having a chance to digest. I think we need to listen to the scientists on both sides before forming an opinion and not allow our opinions and thoughts to be controlled and manipulated by those who have something to gain through fear mongering.

Another July day in the Northeast and we are struggling to reach and hold 70 degrees. Not only is global warming a complete farce but anyone promoting it is A) Clueless B) An Imbecile or C) A Crook
Not only does Carbon have zero affect on temperatures but we are actually in a global cooling period that is getting colder and colder. Who knows how long this will last 20, 50, 100 years or more? All the while the global warming imbeciles will be marching on Washington DC again and again in frigid snowy conditions. Maybe they better move that protest to early August for now on when it might actually hit 80 degrees! LOL
AH, no the ice berg is not a farce, neither was the ice age, it is called cyclic weather patterns that have occured since the creation of the earth. Your run cars, so we get green house gasses, carbon dioxide. As the earth stays a little warmer than normal, the winters are shorter and plants stay greener longer. Plants convert the CO2 back to oxygen, thus consuming the greenhouse gasses, and when they get them back into check, then the winters get longer. The earth is a beautiful system, and if you think your car is killing it, then you give yourself far too much credit. One solar outburst or the lack of one can blow your greenouhouse theory out of the solar system, and the temperature fluxuations are as normal as your body heating up when you work, and your sweat cooling it down. Like I said, a mammoth gets frozen on his feet with food still in his stomach? and you think we are influencing something?
I hear you loud and clear. I also heard about the Antartica and it is scary news.
Is the iceberg that just broke loose in the Antarctic a farce? Is the Pacific Ocean's temperature rise a farce? I do not know what effect the earth's center slowly burning itself out has on our outer layer. I am surprised we are not seeing global cooling myself. But the inner cooling may have some type of effect in the warming that has been affecting icebergs for several years now, causing tsunami and possible earthquakes as reported by people who study those things know. It took a long time for people to realize that the earth was not flat. When Columbus and others set sail, I imagine the people thought it was a politician conspiracy or farce too.
Good points & observations Daniel. Like you I have far more questions than I have heard answers for, specifically where do the tens or hundreds of thousands of previous warming/cooling cycles fit into the equation? Today's hysteria is a political issue. It's almost exclusively those of one particular political persuasion who are pushing the hysteria, and all the evidence thus far points to this issue being politically driven for that group to see their political ideas come to the fore. If they can co-opt this nonsense and make it commonly accepted fact, which they have, yet what they claim isn't yet proven as fact, they can garner a huge body of like-minded thinkers. This is pure political theater being used to get more peeps to agree with their ideologies and social desires.
I am still considering this issue.
