Most of the time most of us as Christians are to cluttered with our own lives, to hear God. There are various ways that God, gets our attention. Some of the most common that I as a Christian have experienced is dreams, other people (strangers), and through the trials and tribulations of life. Though God is always trying to get your attention if you are not in the position to listen to God then it will do you no good. So you must prepare yourself to hear God and also obey the things that God is trying to tell you.
I guess you are wondering how can you be a better listener to God by now. Well there is a simple answer to that, you have to take the time to be at peace, with your situation so that you can hear God speaking. Often I have prayed to God about situations and have asked God to work out the situation the way "I wanted it worked out. I must implore you to be patient wait and listen for God's advice, because God knows your situation better than you do.
God knows exactly what is going on in your life, but sometimes we are not allowing God to step in and do his work. I must advise you God is perfect, so however he works out your situation then know that he will work it out perfectly, but you must do your part and listen and allow God to get your attention and work out your life for you. In the next few paragraphs I am going to tell you the things that I have done in my life to listen. By trying these steps I am more than sure that you will be able to hear God better.
1. Take sometime to be at peace and to meditate on the Lord. You can do this by taking out quiet time for you and the Lord often reading the bible is quite helpful in listening to God for this is the Word of God.
2. Accept the things of your life and change the things that you can and those that you can't change allow the Lord to step in change them
3. Have confidence that God Loves you and is trying to get you attention once you have accepted that God is trying to get your attention then you will hear God more clearer.
4. Know that God never sleeps so his holy spirit is always at work.
5. Seek Gods Advice listen be aware of when God is speaking by seeking God.
If you allow God to speak and you willingly listening to him then. Then you will began to hear God. Sometimes you will hear him as a small voice in the back of your head. You may hear him in a conversation, someone may say something that reflects upon you in a positive nature. You may read a scripture that will guide you out of you situation. All you have to do is hear the Lord and what he is trying to tell you.

Post a CommentThis is a well intended article on a topic that is extremely important. We need to "face toward God" at all times so He doesn't have to get our attention. But, next time the author should proof read what he has written. This article has numerous, numerous grammatical mistakes. I'm no English major, but even I spotted many mistakes...to the point where it took away from the author's message. Plus, the writing style was, in my opinion, a little awkward (besides all the grammatical problems).
Very good article! I believe that it is a sign to me that I happened to stumble upon this article today.
