Is Google Chrome the Fastest Browser

A Browser Race, Which One's the Fastest?

Google is out with a new browser known as chrome, and is promisingly the fastest browser out there. But is it really the fastest?

I did an evaluation using a VM and run all sorts of browsers - I will leave the numbers in this discussion and go straight with the results, since most of you will not care much about those numbers.

First I tried IE

Is Internet Explorer 8.0 The Fastest Browser?

Internet Explorer is not the fastest browser is the straight answer. The first issue with IE is that when you open a new tab, the default tab that appears has these several functions to review your recently opened tabs, however it takes additional seconds to load and isn't really helping with the speed.

Overloading Internet Explorer with tabs can also crash the browser, and most of the time it will. Specially if those tabs contains scripted pages and aren't loaded precisely. Internet Explorer ranks mediocre in terms of overall browser speed, and security. But as it comes default to Windows 7, most people like myself make do with it.

Internet Explorer 6.0 on the other hand comes with Windows XP, and is very outdated.

Is Mozilla Firefox The Fastest Browser?

There certainly is something about Mozilla Firefox, but it isn't being the fastest browser. Firefox does a lot about security and it's addon features. It has like, unlimited, that you can get from their website. Mozilla addons are contributed by their developer community and are actually useful. Some that I found were the download manager and adblock addons for firefox. While Adblock is available to all browsers, Mozilla's Adblock comes the easiest.

Mozilla Firefox specializes in security. Firefox will load pages in speed for the first few tabs, but not after about ten to fifteen tabs.

Finally, here we are

Is Google Chrome the Fastest Browser?

While Google's advertising campaign about the fastest way to surf the net is undeniably effective, Google Chrome is not the fastest browser. First off, google chrome opens several processes for it to function, which you can see if you will open task manager.

Google Chrome does some cute trimmings to rendering and downloading webpages, thus resulting to faster speeds. But not as much as it will make a reasonable, better yet, recognizable difference in terms of browser speed.

This browser on its good side, has a lot of new features, and has a lightweight look to it that other browsers does not have.

So Which is the fastest browser?

Is Opera The Fastest Browser?

Yep. Opera is the fastest browser ever. Besides having options for speeding up the process of downloading of web pages by providing intermediary servers, Opera has its own unique way of rendering a webpage, that is amazingly the fastest.

As mentioned, Opera also has a speed boost for slower connections. Opera provides you with a server; then the page is downloaded via the server where it is compressed, and sends it to you for the browser client to decompress. The whole process may be a little awkward, but it really does great speed ups. You can also turn this function off if you already have fast internet connection.

The major problem Opera users has to deal with is compatibility. It is already a big issue that opera will not work the same with all flatforms. But aside from that, Opera will not be able to render all web pages correctly as well. Opera still has a lot to fix with their browser - or it could be a side effect of being the fastest web browser.
