Is He Cheating on You?

Statistically speaking, if you suspect your husband or boyfriend is cheating on you the odds are pretty good he is, unless you are extremely paranoid. Having worked as a licensed private investigator, I can tell you that by the time a woman would contact the companies I worked for, in almost every case her suspicions about an affair would be confirmed. Most women do not contact a firm until they strongly suspect an affair and they are really just confirming what they already know.

The signs that your boyfriend or husband might be having an affair presented here were mainly learned from these women. They are the ones who would tell me about their suspicions and what they have noticed and that's what I am passing along to you.

The commonality here is change. When you notice changes in your boyfriend or husband, watch out because the changes are indicative of something and quite possibly an affair.

In general, men are lazy and creatures of habit. So if they are going to have an affair, it will usually be convenient for them and that means with a co-worker, neighbor, or one of their wives or girlfriend's friends or even family members (including sisters). Since they are almost always lazy, the signs will be there if your man is cheating on you.

Smell

He smells different. If your husband or boyfriend suddenly changes his cologne or starts using cologne when he did not in the past, there is a reason why. Also, and rather obvious, if he or his clothes start smelling like perfume.

One case I worked, a woman was suspicious of her boyfriend because he suddenly started smelling "different." Turned out the man had started seeing another woman who loved to cook and use spices, especially garlic.

Weight Loss and Appearance

You husband or boyfriend suddenly starts to lose weight and pay more attention to his appearance. If he starts wearing nicer clothes than normal, again there is a reason. If his hair is unkempt and he does not shower all the time but suddenly his hair is perfect and he's showering all the time, something is up.

Change in Hours

If your husband or boyfriend suddenly starts changing the hours he works or plays, again there is a reason and it could very well be another woman.

Pet Hairs and Fur

Many women have pets and if your husband or boyfriend's clothes suddenly start having unfamiliar pet hairs and or fur on them, watch out. Most men will not be smart enough to remove pet hairs or fur from their clothes, and pet hair and fur tends to stick to clothes.

In the Bedroom

If your husband or boyfriend suddenly starts doing things and trying things with you sexually that he's never done before, he learned the new stuff somewhere and it could be from a new girlfriend.

One client I had suspected her husband of an affair because after 10 years of strictly missionary sex, he suddenly wanted her in every yoga type position possible. She liked it, but thought he would never think of it himself, and she was right. He was having an affair with an older woman he met at his gym.

Hanging With Friends More

If your husband or boyfriend suddenly starts hanging out with his friends more, it could be he's using that as an excuse to see a girlfriend. Next time you see one of his friends when he is not around, mention some things he claimed to do with them and if you get a blank stare before an answer, you'll know he's lying to you.

Cell Phone

If your husband or boyfriend suddenly starts getting more possessive with his cell phone and keeps it away from you and does not leave it lying around anymore, he's trying to hide something. Could be a girlfriend. If possible, get a hold of his cell phone bill and look for numbers he's calling and/or receiving calls from a lot, especially at times he is not with you. Any number you do not know that shows up a lot is suspicious.

Check the Mileage on His Car

If your husband or boyfriend drives 15 miles each way to work, that is 30 miles a day or 150 miles per work week. If his mileage suddenly starts going to 250 per week without a reason, he might be sneaking off for a lunchtime affair.

No Sex

If your husband or boyfriend suddenly loses interest in having sex with you, it could be because he is getting it on with someone else.

Work

If your husband or boyfriend hates his job but suddenly work is OK and he starts working longer hours, it could be because he's just met a female co-worker he really likes. In my experience, more often than not when a husband or boyfriend was cheating, it was with someone he met at work.
