Is the ITouch's Screen the Same Size as the IPhone 4?
The iPhone and iPod Touch are both devices manufactured by Apple. They are very similar in design and function. The main difference between the two is that the iPhone comes with cell phone abilities and the ability to continuously access your carrier's 3G network. The iPod Touch only comes with Wi-Fi network technology. Otherwise, both devices come with cameras, music players and access the iTunes network for downloading games, applications and books.
IPod Touch
The iPod Touch is approximately 4.4 inches tall. It is 2.3 inches in width. The depth of the iPod Touch is .28 inches and it weighs approximately 3.56 ounces.
The screen size for the iPod Touch is 3.5 inches (diagonally) widescreen multi-touch display. The iPod Touch has a 960x640 pixel resolution with 326 pixels per inch.
IPhone
The iPhone is 4.5 inches tall. It is 2.31 inches in width. The depth of the iPhone is .37 inches and it weighs approximately 4.8 ounces.
The screen size is 3.5 inches (diagonally) with a widescreen multi-touch display. The screen resolution is 960x640 pixels with 326 pixels per inch.
Similarities
The screen size for the iPod Touch is the same as the iPhone. screen resolution for both devices is the same with a multi-touch widescreen display. Both devices come with the retina display that makes the device's display have amazing clarity. Both devices come with a three-axis gyro, accelerometer technology and ambient light sensors to make your interaction with the device the best that it can be.
Differences
The iPhone device is slightly bigger than the iPod Touch by approximately a tenth of an inch. The iPhone is almost a tenth of an inch deeper in size than the iPod Touch. It is also heavier weighing almost a full ounce more than the iPod Touch.
The iPhone has continuous access to your cell phone carrier's 3G network. It also had text messaging and cell phone capability. The iTouch comes with the ability to access Wi-Fi networks but not the 3G network.
