Is James Arthur Ray Another Jim Jones?
Is James Ray a "spiritual Warriors" or Cleaning Out People's Bank Accounts with His Brainwashing?
I am sadden by the deaths of the people in this so called sweat lodge due to the wannabe leader who used one of the sacred Native American ceremonies to line his pockets. The 50 or so participants in James Arthur Ray's cleansing ritual had each paid $9695 for the opportunity to become "spiritual warriors" at his retreat in the Arizona desert.
Let's take a closer look at James Arthur Ray.
If you go to http://www.thesecret.tv/teachers.html and scroll down to his name, you will see that his is listed as one of the "teachers." Under his name is the word philosopher. Click on that and you will hear his voice say " ...Do you treat yourself the way that you want other people to treat you?"
If you go to http://jamesray.com/events/free-seminars.php you will find that he has a list for "This $149 value is offered short-term as a free event and will fill up fast! Scroll down for the free Teleseminars." Under most of the free events is stated, "...will be led by a Top Graduate. James Arthur Ray will not be in attendance." This is his way of get people to go to his other events that now we know will lead to people paying high prices and in the case of the sweat lodge, death.
If you click on "Spiritual Warrior" you will find that this is the page were they booked this event that lead to these people's death.
"You'll become privy to techniques (many kept secret for dozens of generations) that I searched out in the mountains of Peru, the jungles of the Amazon (and a few other places I don't care to recall).
Mastering these (quite esoteric) practices required me to think and act more differently than I've ever had to before. At first it was quite grueling, but the results...well...all I can say is, "Wow!"
It wasn't until I had completely mastered these concepts and techniques that I was able to combine them with state of the art scientific technology and, as always, create practical real-life applications (you should know my style by now)."
He likes to toss around a few more work such as, Practical Mysticism, Modern Magick, and more to get the "New Age People" to come to him as a teacher. Then we have his "Green Team." (Sure, green for money) "James is President and CEO of his own multi-million dollar corporation, James Ray International (JRI), which was named to Inc. Magazine's coveted Inc. 500 list of America's fastest-growing private companies in the September 2009 issue, reaching a remarkable 547.4% growth over the previous three years. JRI is dedicated to mentoring individuals to create wealth in all areas of their lives: financially, relationally, mentally, physically and spiritually. James' most recent book, Harmonic Wealth: The Secret of Attracting the Life You Want, reached number five on the New York Times Best-Sellers list in its first week in print."
As far as the "Career Opportunities at James Ray International," if you download the PDF you will find that you have to become a "Certified Harmonic Wealth® Coach." This states, "Must have completed Levels 1 and 2 of the CoachVille - JRI Center for Coaching Mastery coach training program, including the Harmonic Wealth Coach Training Course. (Completion must be demonstrated by receipt of the CoachVille certificate of completion.)"
Now in my opinion, this sound like a lot of brain washing to part people from their money. Some of you might remember Jim Jones the founder and leader of the Peoples Temple, which is best known for the November 18, 1978 death of more than 900 Temple members in Jonestown, Guyana along with the deaths of nine other people at a nearby airstrip and in Georgetown. The greatest single loss of American civilian life in a non-natural disaster until the events of September 11, 2001, the tragedy at Guyana also ranks among the largest mass suicides in history. One of those who died at the nearby airstrip was Leo Ryan, who became the only Congressman murdered in the line of duty in the history of the United States. While Jim Jones claimed to be partially of Cherokee descent through his mother Lynetta, this story was apparently not true.
Is James Arthur Ray going to be another Jim Jones? How many more people are going to die before we find out?
