Is Jay Cutler Ready to Leave the Denver Broncos?

Jay Cutler has battled diabetes and now he's battling the Denver Broncos. Still upset over the proposed trade that would've brought Matt Cassel to Denver, Cutler doesn't appear ready to play nice. First year coach, Josh McDaniels, hasn't coached a game yet and is already feeling the heat.

Daniels replaces long standing head coach, Mike Shanahan. He takes over a talented Broncos team, at least on the offensive side of the ball, but with holes and problems.

Brandon Marshall is living up to his nickname of baby T.O. although in T.O.'s defense he has avoided the legal trouble Marshall finds himself in constantly. Marshall a talented young player, could be a constant pro-bowl starter if he would behave off the field. Marshall and Cutler provided much of Denver's offense last season.

Jay Cutler had a break out year last year, passing for 4,526 yards and 25 touchdowns (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/teams/broncos/), on a team with a limited rushing game. This year, Cutler will almost undoubtedly be without the services of Brandon Marshall, who's looking at a suspension for his off the field trouble, for part of the season. So, if Cutler can't be calmed, it appears Denver is in for a rocky season.

If the situation can't be repaired, and McDaniels grows tired of Cutler, he may welcome the opportunity to put his personal stamp on the team. Possible teams interested in Cutler, the Detroit Lions who have the #1 pick in the draft and are in desperate need of a QB. The Tampa Bay Bucs , who always seem to want quarterbacks and San Francisco could also be an option. If Denver trades Cutler, where does that leave the Broncos?

It's yet to be seen if the recently signed Chris Simms can stay healthy and be a productive NFL QB. Would the Broncos draft a QB like Sanchez or Johnson? Time will tell if this rift will pass. I think the Broncos would be wise to hold on to their young signal caller, who seems primed to become an elite QB in the league.

The Broncos have several other areas they need to focus on, most notably defense and the wide receiver position. If they loose Cutler, all of sudden the word rebuilding might start floating around in the thin air of Denver. I understand Culter's position, he feels unwanted, unappreciated, not a good feeling. If the Broncos deal Cutler, I'm not sure which signal caller they'd get in return, that would be as good.
