If you don't watch Joe say the words he said, you can quickly find yourself in a morass of blogs, comments, opinions and other blather.

Joe Wurzelbacher is a typical working class American struggling to elevate his financial position by aspiring to be more successful than he currently is. He believes, as many of us do, that if he learns his craft and works hard at it, that maybe, with a little bit of luck, he can become a business owner. He can even hope to have his business be worth $250,000 or more. For all his effort, years of diligence and long hours, he would be put in a higher tax bracket by Obama's taxation plan.

Joe says he thinks it's wrong to be penalized for working harder and becoming financially successful. Most importantly, he believes the Democrats, represented this time around by Barack Obama, want to take that basic right away from him which he describes as a slippery slope toward socialism and that is scary. It is scary when one understands socialism is when wealth and power are distributed more evenly by the government.

Joe clearly stated it was wrong for him to be penalized for achieving financial success.

So what political persuasion is he? Definitely not the camp that wants to give lots of tax breaks to the "working class" by redistribution of tax money.

Does Joe like being called 'Joe the Plumber'? He says his son's "digging it" and yes, he thinks it's neat, too.
