TV Guide quotes a source close to the show, "Her leaving makes perfect sense. She's been there for seven years, she's made a ton of money, and it allows the show to resolve the Sara-Grissom thing."
On the other hand Fox seems perfectly content and hasn't made any public rumblings about leaving.
In a recent interview Fox responded to queries about the cast in general. "Yeah, as far as I know, everybody will be back."
Still Fox's people and CBS are being extremely tight lipped.
This begs the question. Why so much ambiguity surrounding Fox's return? All indications point to a cliff hanger involving Fox.
In fact the Chicago Tribune reports that Sara will go missing in the season finale. This will force the super secret Grissom Sara relationship into the open. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that releasing Fox's contract negotiations would spoil the impact of the episode.
While some message boards seems pleased by the idea of no Sara in Season 8 other fans are panicked by the idea that Fox might be done with the show. Still others are optimistic about any storyline that brings Sara Grissom out in the open.
"I'll admit I'm slightly concerned," said Grissom Sara shipper MsGrits. "However, based on Jorja's attitude and the appeal of the Grissom and Sara relationship I'm hopeful that the season finale will have a positive impact on the ship in general.
I believe that Grissom and Sara have contributed heavily to CSI's strength and viability in their sevent season. I don't think it would be pragmatic to just end that relationship now."
This season has seen Grissom both giddy about his lady love and completely freaked out the by uber creepy Miniature Killer. The psycho sociopath has sent Grissom life sized replicas of past, present and future crime scenes. One man confessed and and killed himself to boot. Of course nothing is resolved that easily in TV serial killer land or in contract negotiations.
Stay tunned.

Post a CommentI can't stand her character on CSI. I hope they do kill her off, slowly, but not too slowly. She is the worst actor on a show with a lot of really bad actors.
THat sucks~!
please people, let's get real. Grissom and Sara did not fit. I agree with pup1
I'll miss Sara. I think the brewing romance was making Sara come alive and be more human instead of cold and marble-like. Also it was bring out Grissom's loving side. I hope Sara comes back.
Sara should stay I would like to see more romance between her and grissom. You guys would be breaking up a good team. She is a good actress on the show.
I really think she should stay. She is as much the show as anyone else. If Griss dont want her, send her to me.
OK people. I am not a sara fan, but I wanted to see where this relationship would go. On the other hand, kathy did hint (last season) that she was interested in a co-worker (Warrick). Why can't they expand this since he is getting divorced? With or without sara this is still my favorite show and I will continue to watch until it goes off the air.
Not big on Sara, always thought the chemistry wasn't there, and I agree, Grisson would NOT have ANY romantic relationship with someone in the office. On the other hand, Lady Heather would make for more interesting play; you have to admit to a definite chemistry between them. I would like to see her come back and have another meeting with Grissom.
It is not whether Jorja can act well or not; or whether she and the team work well together; it is time to make a few changes to spice up the characters they play. Sara Sidle seems cold, hard and undesirable. The fact Grissom has an interest is not very believable. This guy would never have an inter-office romance no matter what the attraction. Sidle has never been a winning character on the show for me. Bring in some new players to shake things up a bit.
the romance between sara and gil is wonderful. not gonna say i want ever watch again if she leaves,b but i dont think it will ever be the same. i dont think it will be my favorite show anymore
