When Kurt Warner was released by the St. Louis Rams in 2004 he had a sub-par season at best, and apparently he was not happy being a member of the New York Giants, it was quite obvious that he wanted more out of his NFL career. In little than no time at all after being traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2005 Kurt Warner showed why he was worth the trade, even though they had Matt Leinart as their first round pick. Kurt Warner also proved to be an important asset and leader of a team that was losing focus on winning important games - which in the past kept the Cardinals out of the playoff race. The question that only Kurt Warner can answer is, will he change his mind in the off-season or will he stick to his guns and stay permanently retired?
After Playing for 12 seasons in the NFL Kurt Warner summed up how he came to terms about his retirement decision and his career. ""It's been an amazing ride," he said."I don't think I could have dreamt it would have played out like it has, but I've been humbled every day that I woke up the last 12 years and amazed that God would choose to use me to do what he's given me the opportunity to do." As a man of devout faith and Christian values, is Kurt Warner's retirement a good decision for his NFL career? Would most Cardinal fans want Kurt Warner to return for one more season?

Post a CommentI would have liked to see him play one more year, but if this is his final decision then I am alright with it, especially to what he has given to the game.
