Is Life Forever or Only Long Enough to Be Painful?

Personal Experience and Pain

Shawn Smith
Is life forever or only last long enough to be painful? Is a child's life more precious than an adult's? Who should outlive who? The parent or the child? World questions that everyone wishes could be answered will remain secrets until the end. There was a story where the parent and child die together. Is it fair or fate?

Every once in a while there are stories of rapes and murders without reason and meaning so no one cares. No one clings on to the fact that it could happen to anyone at anytime. Fate is destiny, death, love, friendship, and hardships. All of these things fall under one category. The ignorance of man has forgotten how Satan like the world can be. One man becomes rich all of a sudden and crazy at another sometimes this is a result of one thing. Their soul is no longer their soul but controlled by the one under ruler Lucifer. Want over power need, as madness over sanity. The line between the two is slim and just waiting to break.

One early morning a family was on the daily routine. The kids were getting dressed and ready for school. The youngest sat and ate his cereal as the middle sister was heading to school. A phone call came through to the girl as she is making her way to school.

She heard the voice say, "Sister keep going to school. Don't come back. Everything will be ok. I'll miss you and I love you." As soon as the two hangs up the girl ask her friend to turn the car around. Her heart is racing as her mind begins to wonder what her oldest sister had meant by the words she had just spoken.

Tears came to her eyes as she expected the worst yet prayed for the best. Something serious was happening and she could not continue to school until she knew for sure what was going on. Her friend pulled in a drive way and turned around.

As the two were driving back tears continued to pour down her face. She prayed to God for forgiveness for her sins and asked for his comfort through these troubling times. The two reached the house as the girl could hear commotion coming from inside. She jumped inside as she jumped out and ran inside. She had told her friend to keep the car cranked and be ready to go. The girl ran up to the front step as a masked man stepped outside and struck the girl. Her friend immediately called the cops and peeled out.

The man began to drag the girl inside and began to curse the family as he waved a gun around. The youngest boy had begun to cry as the man yelled for him to continue eating his breakfast. He lined all of the women against the wall and continued to shout with fear and hatred in his voice. His finger on the trigger, he continued to wave the gun. Burst of tears came from each individual that morning.

His patience has worn thin. The women's cries and pleads only made him angrier. He shot the mother as the daughters watched asking them where the drugs were. As they pointed with slow voices he grabbed up the son and took his knife slowly against his throat and allowed the son to bleed out in his hands. The daughters began to cry as she shot the oldest daughter.

She lied there bleeding begging for help. As the youngest daughter reaches her hand over to her sister, the man takes his knife again and finished the girl off. The youngest daughter had no where to look to or anyone to cry to. The man continued to get madder as the girl asked for him to spare her life and take what he wanted and leave.

He knew he had to finish them all since his face had been shown. He takes the gun to the girls head and tells her to begin to pray. As she does he waits and allows her to say "AMEN," at that time his hand grasp the trigger and her life was prematurely ended.

He ran to the garage and took the drugs and ran out as his girlfriend waited in the car. The two of them peeled out switching cars on the way. As the cops arrived at the scene the killers had been gone five minutes and were not planning to stick around. The two killers decided to leave town and state. Dangerously furious the man continues to drive. The next day the story is out on the news looking for his quadruple homicide. He can hear the reports on his car radio trying to steer clear from any cops or people who might recognize him. Half way across the country, his body is beginning to ware out and his driving begins to become a risk.

A stationary cop saw his car to begin to swerve as he was driving at intense speeds. They radioed in the tag number as it became a match to the killer's car. The cop called for back up as he continued to pursue the killer without making it evident until back up arrived. As three more squad cars came the cop's aid, they flipped their blue lights on and the killer began to move faster. It became evident that the killer was trapped yet still would not stop.

As the killer's car nearly rammed another car there was two gunshots heard. The killer's car quickly ran up a bank and came to a dead stop. The cops got out of their cars and drew their weapons. As they slowly walked up to the car they could see that the killer's has ended their own lives. The man who killed the family had pointed the gun at his girlfriend and shot her then shooting himself. As two day long chase of a killer who decided that a family needed to die was finally caught but without questioning why he did what he did.

Different allegations were made but none known for sure. Different thoughts raced through peoples head but were any of them well thought out and processed. This man ended others lives and his own.

Was it truly their time to die? Was it fair that the kids died along with their mother in order not to suffer through out their lives being without? Was it fair for the killer to kill his girlfriend before killing himself? Does life always end up the way it should be? Interpretation is that of the beholder.
Only God will know the true answer but for now we can all ponder with our answers and thoughts. The last thought left in many minds is "What if". Never think what, and how about tomorrow. Just know that today may be your last. Make the best of it and hope your eyes see tomorrow. No one is promised another or breath. Just know that today was a gift and so will be tomorrow.

Man does not hold the answers to life's questions. Fairness is only interpreted by each individual. Knowing nothing makes us ignorant, but making false accusations can make man arrogant.

This is a true story of a small town murder in Conover NC.
