Is Lindsay Lohan Fighting a Losing Battle with Samantha Ronson, Drugs, Alcohol and Weight Loss?

Wendy Dawn
Lindsay Lohan has so much stacked against her: a love-fight relationship with Samantha (Sam) Ronson; weight loss that has friends and family scared; a win-lose battle with alcohol and drugs in which she has slipped back to the losing side; and losing job ops to her peers.

Dad, Michael Lohan, blames a great deal of Lindsay's downhill roll on Samantha Ronson, whom he has called "disgusting." Just Jared shared what Michael Lohan has called his "final blog" entry. Michael Lohan wrote that he had received a text message from a very old, dear friend, whom he trusted which said "Lindsay is worse off than ever since she has been with Sam."

Who knows what goes on behind closed doors, but very rowdy public fighting has marked Lindsay's relationship with Sam. There was the highly publicized fight on New Year's Eve, a contentious pre-Super Bowl event, and neighbors say they have heard rambunctious battles between Sam and Lohan, including screaming and things being thrown around.

Another fight where Sam doesn't seem to be lending Lindsay support is in her battle with addictions. According to Alham!, Lindsay Lohan's friends report that she is drinking and taking drugs, despite admitting, "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs."

Friends fear things have become far worse, reporting that she is cutting.

Self-harm or cutting usually occurs when an individual feels their life has spun out of control and they are in so much mental and psychological pain that they use a razor blade or knife to slit their own wrists or inner thigh. A cutter's intent is usually not to kill him/herself, but to numb the pain.

Cutting can result in tragic results. One can only imagine the anguish which has a chokehold on Lindsay Lohan if she has resorted to cutting. Friends of Lohan report seeing fresh scars.

She also appears emaciated, having lost too much weight, too fast. Often, when people can't control their circumstances they resort to anorexic behavior. It gives them control over one thing, eating or weight. Lindsay Lohan's behavioral pattern seems to follow this pattern.

According to Alham!, friends blame her dramatic weight loss on a "skinny pact" with Samantha Ronson.

Lindsay denies she has a problem with her weight, telling US Weekly that she recently ate a Big Mac and eats as much as she always has. Lohan didn't say whether or not she is digested the Big Mac. If she is still eating a normal diet, I can't help but wonder if she is keeping it down.

As her weight and battle with alcohol and drugs rolls downhill, Lindsay Lohan can't fight the impact her chaotic life has had on her career. She had hoped to land a role in an upcoming movie to give her career a boost, only to find out Mean Girl's co-star Amanda Seyfried was cast in the movie A Woman of No Importance.

Despite all appearances Lindsay Lohan claims she is happy. She says she loves Sam. I want to side with Lindsay's friends and family blame Lindsay's troubles on the relationship with Sam, because I believe Lindsay Lohan is a talented young actress, caught in Hollywood's web too young.

I hate to hear of another young starlet going down in a blaze of fire. As much as I would like to blame Sam, and believe she may share in the problems, Lindsay Lohan has her own decisions to make. She has can make changes that will give her new life and new direction -- that is, if Sam will let her.
