Is Mankind Dangerously Harming the Environment?

The environment has to deal with pollution that's harmful to its surrounding. Some farmers have to use pesticides for their crops to be plentiful and to sell to the market. Also, pesticides are harmful to animals. This has caused a problem with extinction of some animal. For example, pesticides are harmful to birds and may have cause problems with the extinction of some birds. Personally, I think that the mankind is dangerously harming the environment because of environment problems.

The agriculture community has to provide food for a growing population with different diets. Farmers are growing crops that have to be eventually market to consumers. Also, farmers have to use chemicals and pesticides on the crops. These chemicals can be harmful to the environment and to the animals. I feel that there has to be other solutions to using chemicals. Well, I know that we need the crops for the human food supply and the crops need pesticides to keep away anything that will stop the crop from growing. But, the chemicals are harmful to the environment and animals. The government spends millions of dollars towards research. I feel that some money should be used to concentrate on making our environment clean and a healthy place for all species.

The economic growth has exceeded that of the 19^th century and the demands are outgrowing the earth. The world's economy has multiplied but the earth's natural life support systems remained essentially the same. . Also, the water use has triple but the capacity of the hydrological system to produce fresh water through evaporation hasn't changed that much. For example, I live in central Georgia and we have been going through a drought for a while. At first, homeowners were allowed to water their lawn certain days of the week. Now, homeowners are not allowed to use water on their lawn because of the drought. We haven't been getting that much rain so that fact hasn't really helped the drought. Also, the weatherman said that the winter would be warmer because of the drought. The water use hasn't really affected me that much because I don't own a home. But, I am moving into a house within in the next month and I wanted to plant a garden so I'm a little disappointed about the water restriction. I just hope that we get over the drought soon. The demand for seafood is five times more popular but the fish supply hasn't changed. The excessive demand on the earth is showing a decrease in the earth's natural food supply. For example, the shrinking forests are evidence of the excessive demand. Also, we have to take in consideration of the expanding deserts. To illustrate, melting glaciers and the rivers are running dry. Also, the species are disappearing. There are very important people that are trying to make people aware of global warming and how something need to be done about the dangers of the environment.

There are measures that can be taken to improve the environment and to slow global warming. The government has to provide alternatives to the agriculture community and at the same time supply food to the people. Animals are very important to the environment and we have to find a way to stop the extinction of our animals. Man is harmful the environment and man need to correct the damage.
