Is Marian Rivera Pregnant?

I watched The Buzz last Sunday December 14, 2008 in The Filipino Channel here in Chicago when I visited my Filipino uncle. The Buzz is a Philippine-based Talkshow which tackles current issues, intrigues and controversies of Filipino actors and actresses and is owned by ABS-CBN Channel 2 Corporation.

Marian Rivera is a well known movie and television star/actress in the Philippines. She started her career as a contestant in celebrity reality search show(Starstruck) which was a program in GMA 7 where she finished as a finalist. Her career started to blossom when she was chosen to play the role of Marimar, a Philippine remake of the ever popular "Marimar" which was played by Thalia in Mexico. That was followed by the major role as Dyesebel, a fantasy show which she played the lead role as a mermaid paired with Dingdong Dantes as her leading man. After that Marian was immediately one of the Philippine superstars which received a lot of commercials, movie offers and TV guestings, and together with the fame, a lot of controversies aroused.

The issue started when Marian was speculated to be the reason why lovers Dingdong Dantes and Karylle separated. It ended up to Karylle moving out from her home station GMA 7 to the rival station ABS-CBN Channel 2. The transfer was then followed by several controversies saying that Karylle can't work anymore on the same station where Marian and Dingdong are around. Several interviews were made, Dingdong and Marian kept their silence until last Sunday with the interview from The Buzz' Host Boy Abunda, Karylle was asked in the show's Tough Ten segment, the last question was: Is Marian Rivera Pregnant? Karylle just smiled and didn't say anything which led the host to thank her and end the interview. A very meaningful smile that made people think if Marian was really pregnant or not. A lot of write ups were released and from the interview of ABS CBN last December 15, 2008. Marian strongly denied that she is pregnant and said that she was offended when Karylle just went silent when she was asked with the question. Marian said she could have said she doesn't know but she opted to stay silent which made all people think that the rumor was true. Karylle defended herself saying that being silent was her way to say that she doesn't know and it's none of her business and she doesn't want to comment on the topic.

The intrigues keep on coming and these three people (Marian, Dingdong and Karylle) are the hottest talk of the town of Philippine Show Business right now!
