Under the terms of this deal, Oksana was to have also kept the taped recordings of Mel Gibson's rantings secret, but for some reason she left the deal on the table and walked away.
The pair had apparently signed a "short form" agreement, a contract which outlined the terms of the settlement, but Oksana refused to sign the full agreement.
In the meantime, some of her text messages to Mel Gibson have now emerged, and this could change everything, since the taped recordings were made without Mel Gibson's consent, and that makes them inadmissible in court.
Just why Oksana Grigorieva felt the need to secretly record conversations with Mel Gibson is not known, however Mel Gibson's lawyers may use the text messages that she sent to him as evidence that she was trying to extort money from him.
If that is the case, you can only imagine what their home life might have been like, especially if Oksana has a fiery personality and possibly drove him crazy.
Rumors have also been circulating that the content of the audio tapes has been doctored, which further fuels the idea that something fishy is going on, and there is a lot more to the story of Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva than just some crazy "Max Max" rantings.
The story gets even more complicated, with the Daily Mail in London reporting yesterday that Mel Gibson was planning to "flee" to Australia with his ex wife Robyn, to escape from the whole scandal situation that has brewed with Oksana Grigorieva and the secret tapes.
While Mel Gibson's representative, Alan Nierob, has said that there is no truth to this story, the Daily Mail is claiming that Mel Gibson has sold his mansion in New York for $17 million less than the asking price, and has also listed his home in Malibu for sale.
Robyn, who is still currently married to Mel Gibson (the divorce is still in process), and is the mother of their seven children, has stated that he has never harmed either her, or their children.
If these facts are correct, could it be that Mel Gibson and his wife could get back together, leave behind the glitz and scandals of Hollywood, and move back to Australia and a more reclusive life.
Mel Gibson is currently filming in New York, a project called "The Beaver", in which he is to star with Jodie Foster, who is also directing the movie.
It will be interesting to see in what direction the next reports of this affair focus. Maybe we will see Mel Gibson reconciled with his ex wife, and quite possibly Oksana Grigorieva identified as a money seeker.
I guess we will all have to wait and see...

Wow! I googled the story and the press sounds like Tatiana is being wronged by being deported, but then the media would, wouldn't it. I hope Mel reads this, and I hope he is able to get support back as more information about this ugly affair comes to light. Oksana's behaviour is just really strange for a start.

I married a Russian woman who, upon bringing her to the states went from "Polly Purebred" to witch over night. She used sex to try to get money from me. With in a couple of months I caught her having an affair with a "friend" of mine while I watched her 3 yr old at home. When I told her I was going to file for divorce, it got ugly. She made false claims that I abused her and her son, (off to jail I went) Read all about it by googling tatiana Miroshnik and/or going to Contra Costa times and reading my story in the comment section. Perhaps Mel did some things he should not have, but I can tell you that these women have a network of other Russian women in the states who help each other over the phone on what do to beat the system. No joke! I personally know of two other men who (one went to jail on false abuse charges after she hit herself in the head to inflict a bruise.. she occupied his home for over a year with a restraining order on him! The other had his beautiful Russian Bride put
I can't imagine what it's like to be abused like that, to dread going home, or an abuser coming home. I somehow thing that Mel isn't as guilty as he looks though, her behaviour is rather suspicious.
Those phone tapes remind me of what my abuser used to say to me when he was drunk. (Shudder.)

Great article. Yeah, this whole thing with Mel Gibson is really odd. I honestly don't know what to make of it. I'm betting that Oksana has a few screws loose as well, maybe even more so than Mel. Only God knows what's really going on though.
This is such a crazy story. It's so odd that there weren't reports of him being a flagrant bigot back in his Lethal Weapon days. Maybe he just had better handlers then, or the fact that the paparazzi industry hadn't become the all-seeing juggernaut it is today.
