Is Michael Savage a False Prophet?

I hate to write this. I like Mike Savage and it was only through a long metamorphosis of time and an amazing change of his attitude toward a number of people and issues that brings me to this point.

Make no mistake, Mr. Savage speaks and writes passionately in the promotion of the moral superiority of Liberty. His best selling conservative books, especially "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder", are brilliant. He has had 4 or 5 best selling books, all of which build sound arguments that effectively slam the mentally disturbed libs. Most of the time, as I listen to Mike on his radio show, he seems to be very passionate about targeting and destroying the horrific and dangerous liberal insanity run amuck in congress and throughout our daily lives through social policy and programs. "Red Diaper Doper Babies" is his phrase for the children of the 60's Hippie brigades that raised their kids to be nice little dope smoking commie brats...all of which make up the enemy forces within and behind the likes of the ACLU, most of academia, the media, Hollywood, union management, law schools, and of course the vast majority of the rank and file trial lawyers...just to name a few.

He hammers away at important topics such as his Triple Gospel of "Borders, Language, Culture", making those three concepts a cornerstone of his show and belief system. I absolutely support his conservative point of view most of the time. Currently he is embroiled in a legal battle with CAIR the front group for Islamic terrorist organizations. Prevailing over CAIR is of utmost importance to us all, making what I am about to delve into here, even harder to do.

Cracks began to appear

Things began to change with Mike somewhere along the way. Cracks in his stated conservative positions began to make his reasoning not so reasonable. Very odd positions started creeping into his monologues in what started to sound more like diatribes from the (insane) Left than from a logic based Conservative. My first inclination for the root of this change (and it is pure speculation) is that he fell victim to some very bad advice concerning his inability to take the top ratings from Limbaugh or Hannity. It just looks like someone told him that in order to receive higher ratings against Rush and Sean, he had to disparage, attack or destroy them. For example, Mike refers to Mr. Rush Limbaugh as a "fraud", Further insulting him with labels like "The Golfer" in such demeaning tones, you have to stop and wonder if you heard it correctly. Ditto for his portrayal of Sean Hannity as Sean "Vanity".

The Cracks became Chasms

As the years passed, Savage seems to have come to the point where there are no bounds, no reason and no limits when attacking literally any conservative with an opinion or position. In radio or not, in government or not, in the media or not...it made no difference: if the viewpoint did not come from Mike Savage, then the view point was not correct. but if the view point was the same as Savage's, then it was clearly stolen from him.

Understand, I'm not trying to 'Imus' Mr. Savage nor go after him because he is not towing the party line, or the 'Ditto-Head' points of view. However, I am compelled to point out that he has now crossed over to the dark side, essentially doing for conservatism what David Duke would have done for the Republican party had he not been rejected roundly.

First, in spite of his claim to speak for Conservatives, he quite often delves into support for what is clearly not conservative values or positions. It's not just his financial support for Moon Beam Jerry Brown nor the fact that he gave Chucky Shummer a microphone to spew his idiocy. Nor is it his never ending bashing of George W. Bush and his luke warm and tepid (at best) regard for Ronald Reagan, nor even his total trashing and bashing of the likes of Newt Gingrich, Anne Coulter, Ben Stein, Bill Bennett, Dick Chaney, and literally all of the GOP presidential candidates. Even new converts from the Left like Dennis Miller are "savaged".. It's not his disgust with FOX News or his attacks on literally every Republican that ever drew a breath. No, none of these people or organizations are perfect and none are above criticism, nor should be.

Clearly he has decided that in order to make it big in talk radio and take over the number one or two spot, he must take out the competition. Even that is O.K. But what Savage is doing is not just going after the competition but going after the competition by using the same tactics of the Left.. which is NOT by legitimately challenging their positions by using sound bites or their quotes as evidence. Instead, he just lies. He makes up phony quotes out of thin air or assigns meaning to them that have no basis in reality.. then repeats it over and over until it becomes THE BIG LIE..

He can't really use the actual recorded speech when he employs the big lie, for that would expose his lie.. or the implied meaning which he attaches to something that was never uttered. Rarely, if ever, does he back up his claim or analysis using actual audio quotes of Rush as evidence. Or if he does, it is always taken out of context. These are the tactics of Air America and liberals that spend every waking moment distorting words of their perceived enemies. But it is unacceptable for a Conservative to use those same 'convenient' tactics, because that is not what Conservatives do and that is what sets us apart from the liars.. the liberals.

Now the funny thing about Savage's show is you never hear a single Rush supporter defending Rush or offering the correct version of what Savage is charging. Rush has 20 million listeners. Yet curiously their view points for the purpose of setting the record straight are NEVER heard. Well there is one exception and that is myself. A couple of years ago I called Mike and told him that he had been on the air for over 90 minutes and I thought I was listening to Air America rather than to a supposed conservative talk show. I also let it be known that it was apparent that he was portraying Rush and Sean and even Michael Reagan as something they were not.. that he was attacking them on false pretenses and baseless charges, using false quotes, and implying meanings that were not in any way representative of the actual words used by any of them. He was not happy with my call to say the least and bluntly told me that this was his show and if I didn't like it I should find another show. He said that he was going to run his show the way he wanted. He did not deny my charges. Since then, (nor before), I have never heard another caller oppose Mike Savage on these mis-portrayals. Listeners just don't get the chance to correct the false impression offered by him. Trust me, of the 20 million or so loyal Ditto-Heads out there in radio land, the fact that they are not heard on Savage's show is simply a reflection of the screening process. Otherwise Savage would have to face an embarrassing presentation of the real facts, which at a minimum would cast doubt onto his claims. Apparently Mike is unwilling to enter into any confrontation regarding his unprovable allegations. Pretty cowardly don't ya think Mike? How do you expect the Conservatives of America (the ones you claim to be the true leader of) to believe anything you have to say? Mr. Savage you have got to know that in avoiding legitimate challenges, you will never win over those that hold truth near and dear.

What Savage is engaged in smacks of the typical cheap ratings grab we see most often in little known or desperate commentators. Most every conservative that paid any attention to the details of the contract "with" America knows that concepts such as making Congress live by the same laws they impose on us is not really a bad idea. In fact it is a damn good idea and how anyone could not think so is enough to make you want to pull your hair out. Minimizing it or discrediting it with silly slogans like the Contract "ON" America, in that juvenile and transparent manner is totally expected from liberals. Yet Savage used the same slogan.. Contract "ON" America.. and in so doing gave credence to the mantra from the left, and their never ending distraction from truth.. giving it legitimacy, and ending up encouraging even more idiocy. By default, he actually has joined hand in hand with the left in their failed attack on Newt and in the process demonstrated that he is anything but a conservative, much less the "only" legitimate spokesman for conservatism.

A day rarely passes in which he does not try to vilify Rush or Sean, such as claiming they are nothing more than a 'spokes-mouth' for "the worst president" in history.. or by calling them and their listeners, (Rush with 20 million and Sean with 10 million) "Bush-bots". He relentlessly opines that Rush and Sean never question or disagree with the president. However, he must know or is blissfully ignorant of the fact that the number of issues that Rush and Sean go after President Bush and stringently disagree with him on.. is so vast that it is downright uncomfortable for them and their listeners. They take Bush to the woodshed on a regular basis. Savage regularly promotes the idea that he is the only conservative to disagree with the president and that makes him the only independent thinker out there.. It is simply an un-informed position at best, and a cheap attempt to mis-inform with extreme prejudice, at worst.. Conservatives find President Bush to be a huge disappointment in many areas, the least of which are border security, illegal immigration, his restrained approach to Iraq, the "new tone", the Law of the sea treaty, (LOST), signing onto the McCain/Fiengold's attack on the First Amendment, the appointment of his personal lawyer to the Supreme Court, etc.. just to name a few.. not to mention how we all would much rather have a conservative president that didn't spend like a drunken LIBERAL. The idea that only Savage has noticed or challenged these problematic issues between Bush and his conservative base is just simply false. He claims that this proves he is "independent" but the reality is that it makes him sound like just another of the mentally disturbed liberals he usually attacks. For him to portray everyone on the right, including Limbaugh and Hannity as Yes-Men for Bush is beyond the pale. it simply has no bearing in truth nor in fact.. It is contemptuous and reminds me of the nature of what we expect from the worst of the Left, and certainly not from the best of the Right.

Savage Attacks Google Earth

Take the topic of Google Earth, a free and amazing website that offers anyone the opportunity to see the world in ways that have only been dreamed of before. It allows the user the ability to interface with satellite photos from literally any point on the planet in 3D and in the mode of being able to fly like a bird.. a jet, an orbiting space ship, or even just as a mountain hiker. One can fly as fast as 5-mph or many thousands of MPH at any altitude from 5 feet.. to 35,000 miles above the Earth. For those that have ever wanted to fly like a bird, this satisfies that urge to a magnificent degree. To those that have the need for speed, you can't hardly beat it. To those that have a never ending list of places to visit, this is your wish list from heaven.. this is how you can virtually go there, including places you most likely could never go to.. like cruising over some commune, prison camp or Mig base in North Korea.. or The North Pole, or Easter Island, the inside of Mt. Saint Helen, even to former places you used to live, and to future places you may be considering a move to. A whole new world of adventure and sights unfold before you and you are the pilot to wherever your heart wishes to explore. Talk about incentive to learn geography! Google Earth offers the ability for millions of people world wide to join in organized rescue attempts for missing boaters in open seas, (from their living rooms). The vivid colors of the universe unfold before you as you traverse the night sky in extreme detail of an exploding star systems, or Super Nova's with close ups of our galaxy and our solar system in ways so clear and close it's almost as if distance did not exist.. Awesome is too weak a description to describe Google Earth and what it offers for those of the 'explorer' mentality, because It is that and so much more. It is such an eye opener and source of amazing sights.. that one has to simply see for oneself in order to grasp the magnificence of it all. To top it off, Google Earth is free to any and all..

But Mike Savage would pull the plug on it. He hates it.. He rails against it with a rage that is scary. But why? Well he claims it is obscene because it gives our enemy's the ability to have classified data on the location of our military, thus allowing the enemy the ability to target them and have a strategic advantage over us. And to some very small degree he is right. But any military strategist will tell you that the enemy having knowledge of your positions when they are one or two years old.. is not really of any military advantage, and in fact could be used quite well to put that enemy at a disadvantage simply because it is is OLD information.. NOT good information, NOT current information.. and OLD information is MIS-information that can and will backfire on the ones trying to use it for military purposes.

Still, for that reason Savage would outlaw Google Earth. Pulling the plug on all the good that comes from it, along with all the potential for allowing anybody to travel the world with the freedom of a bird, to nearly mimic freedom of flight in awe inspiring HD 3D.. to prevent the wheel chair bound or the home bound to escape the chains that bind them and offers instead the freedom to explore a world previously unreachable.. to remove the tool that inspires students to crave learning geography.. to steal away from the citizens of this amazing planet the ability to explore every distant land.. to throw away the magnificent opportunities for all to see ourselves and our planet in ways unheard of and undreamed of.. or at least until the likes of a Michael Savage would pull the curtains on it.. for no other reason except for what can only be described as an unjustified paranoia.

Why not outlaw the internet? Or criminalize the possession of maps, or how about books Mike? Those books you know, could really provide some hot info to our enemies, like how to build a bomb for example.. Hell lets throw in cell phones, libraries and satellite dishes while we are at it.. All of those things can be used by our enemies.. so using your logic, lets do away with it all.. The idea that you feel Google Earth is "Obscene".. something as fantastic and positive as it is.. well that is the real obscenity Mr. Savage, and that is not how things are done in a free and open society.

The Declaration of Incompetence

Recently, nearly the entire Democratic side of the United States Senate, (42 Senators, including Hillary, Obama, and Dodd), took an action that was unprecedented in American History. In an arrogant and blatant attempt to silence the biggest headache to Liberalism, the President of the Senate, Harry Reid, (aka Dingy Harry), wrote a threatening letter to the president of Clear Channel the Syndicator of over 600 radio stations that carry the Rush Limbaugh Show. In it he and 41 Senate Democrats urged him to silence or temper Rush for a quote he never made, and for which they knew that he had never made. But they just could not help themselves in their deep and dark arrogance. The "offending quote" was a contrived lie and easily had been shown to be a lie and a distortion of the provable "recorded" audio and video tapes from the show. And yet, even then.. they just simply could not exercise enough self control to make themselves avoid making such a blunder and making such asses of themselves by exposing who they really are.

It was breath taking. And even if Rush had made the statement the Democrats attributed to him, (which he didn't).. it was still breath-taking in its Stalinist approach to silence the opposition! To silence Rush. To shut him down.. to muzzle him as if this was some tin horn tyrannical dictatorship unable to tolerate opposing points of view.. or more specifically unable to tolerate the truth. Do you understand what occurred there? You, the rank and file members of the Democratic Party that have seen your party morph into the vision of Michael Moore, and George Sorros, while leaving you in the dust of what you thought was your party. Do you see now how their all consuming struggle for power.. for powers sake, has turned your party into something you would not have believed possible, twenty years ago. But there it is. And for the average Democrat having found himself swept up in the movement toward the fringe, the evidence is clear. It will go down in history as the watershed moment of clarity for all to see.. the Democratic party is in trouble! The Chilling implications of that smear letter toward our Bill of Rights, (First Amendment) should have made every thinking American outraged. My head still reels at the spectacle of such arrogance in their use of raw power to stifle Free Speech. Real scary stuff America. It took an action designed to stiffel the free speech of the most effective voice of dissent that just happens to be their opposition! How convenient.. How stupefyingly, astonishingly, amazingly convenient!

You 'tolerant' liberals out there that claim to believe in Free Speech.. don't even try to defend this as something that is somehow out of the norm for your party.. that this is not what you really stand for.. or believe. Just don't. It wont fly. This is where your party is headed, and it has been on this track for a long time. But this has never happened in the entire history of our country. Never! Not Ever! I'm nearly speechless with awe when I think how utterly out of touch those 42 DEMOCRATIC senators had to be with that bone headed smear letter, in that NONE of them thought anything about what they did, and in fact did it with amazing ease. The Senate has the POWER to shut down Clear Channel with their never ending red tape, licensing and regulatory requirements. All for the purpose of shutting up just one citizen.. Rush Limbaugh. The fact that it would eliminate a major source of political dissent.. and remove a sharp thorn in the side of Liberalism should not come as a surprise to anyone. Especially given the cry from all the open minded tolerant liberals everywhere to bring back the other "Hush Rush" law...the Fairness Doctrine. Again, the convenience factor is astonishing in it's transparency. And proving once more that Free Speech is the last thing liberals want or care about.. at least for their opponents. Their way of dealing with dissent is straight out of Joe Stalin's play book. The Soviet state silenced its problem children with an ease that the United States Senate has now demonstrated a willingness to mimic.

Poetic Justice

In what is recognized as one of the most brilliant moves imaginable, (at least to most Conservatives), Rush to his most excellent credit turned the tables on those Lemmings in such a way, that it will surely go down in the American history books as one for the ages.. In an act so courageous and inspiring that we still chuckle and smile in Awe, when we think about how Rush turned that small minded gamut back on them and exposed them for the fools they are. He shoved it right back in their faces.

As most people know, Rush did not cower or hide under the pressure brought to bear on him to cool his message, or tone it down or, (what they really wanted), just go away and shut the hell up..

He did not refute what he was accused of saying because, well.. because he didn't Freaking say what he was accused of saying. Which makes it more unbelievable than ever. You would think that these Ignoramuses would have figured out by now the nature of video and audio tapes. You would think that nothing speaks louder than a video or audio clip from his show.. and that THAT hard evidence would settle any arguments.. But NO. These after all are the same people that on a daily basis contradict what they said yesterday or last week or last year.. and do so as if NOBODY can prove otherwise and video tape has yet to be invented. It's simply jaw dropping in it's arrogance.. not to mention how it tends to illustrate an incredible lack of self awareness.. to a point that just leaves the observer speechless. WHAT CAN ONE SAY? How about we have a moment of stunned silence to contemplate the idea that these are the people we have entrusted with making our laws.. .

And while the smear letter made phony charges, it doesn't rate as high as the real issue, which is the attack on free speech by the Senate Democrats.. any argument as to whether he said it or said anything really, short of screaming "Fire" in a crowded theather.. is not even worth discussion.. at least outside of Stalinist regimes where free speech is acknowledged and not up for discussions on it's limits.

Considering the regulatory power over licensing and renewals and the huge threat the letter implied, Rush was facing no small problem.. He was flatly accused of being unpatriotic!! Of all the people to be accused of that.. and by the most unpatriotic group of socialist this country has ever seen in places of power.. it is once again simply jaw dropping in it's absurdity..

In the face of real threats FROM the United States Senate with the full authority of the federal government, lesser men would have caved or backed off. Especially considering the regulatory power over licensing and renewals being lorded over the head of Clear Channel and it's 1,200 stations and thousands of employees. Would Rush back off? Would he cave? Would he apologize for something he didn't even say, (as demanded by the letter)? Would he tone it down? Would he ease off on his daily presentation of hard core verifiable evidence of liberal incompetence, meanness, intolerance, bigotry and non stop hatred of everything that is good?

Nope. Not El Rushbo.. No Mr. Rush Limbaugh went public with the smear letter, (The Declaration of Incompetence) putting it up for auction on Ebay, making a big deal over it and bringing attention to it in such a bold manner that it left the Senate Democrats stunned and confused. For a week the Ebay auction price climbed to it's ultimate level of 2.1 million dollars, and then after being matched by Rush himself, to $4.2 million dollars.. 100% of which went to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, college fund for the children of KIA Marines and police officers killed in the line of duty. It's a wonderful charity that benefits the American military in an Ironic turning of the tables on the Senate Democrats.. considering that for the entire term of President Bush, they have purposefully tried to undercut and never missed an opportunity to pull the rug out from under the military in their Bush-Derangement-Syndrome single minded approach to absolutely everything. It was a brilliant move by Rush and a big poke in the eye to Dingy Harry and his buds in the Senate. They will forever regret the thoughtless and reckless nature of that revealing and transparent attack on America's Cornerstone of Free Speech. I for one salute you Rush.. It was so Awesome how you turned it right back on them.. and exposed the small minded and mindless attitude that those fools operate under every waking moment of every day.

And Guess where Mike Savage stood on the topic? You guessed it, like the drive by media, he ignored it, and minimized it claiming, "I just don't see the big deal being made over it.." Which was pretty much the same position of the New York Times and all liberals everywhere. He has every right to his opinion on this and other topics, but to claim he is the only true spokesman for Conservatism while doing so, is absurd and laughable.

A big Hardy Har. Except it's really not all that funny. It's sad in fact. The idea that Savage can not bring himself to see the brilliance of how Rush turned the tables on such powerful liberals is just a little too revealing of Savages' willingness to put aside important principles in exchange for higher ratings. It smacks of sour grapes. The fact is that with this move Rush exposed (once again) the folly of liberals, something he does day in and day out, while on the side lines we have Michael Savage calling him a fraud.. and minimizing this wonderful and brilliant move along with all the other wonderful and brilliant moves of Ma-ha Rushie.. for over 20 years. This move adds another "w" to his successful and never ending battle to defeat liberalism.. and whether Savage realizes it or not, his pooh-poohing of it does nothing positive toward moving his show upward in the ratings war, nor toward endearing him to any potential conservative audience.

Conservatives today are waging a true war of ideas in which Liberty is the prize and the loss of freedom.. the result if the battle is lost. Somehow it is not understood or appreciated by liberals that Freedom is not something that just falls out of the sky. In spite of the fact that It has always been a battle to acquire and a battle to preserve.. two facts that liberals can't seem to grasp. Nor to assign value to. When was the last time you heard a liberal even utter the words Liberty or Freedom.. or wax elegant on the topic? The seriousness of the battle against those liberals that would steal it from us under the guise of whatever is in vogue at the moment.. clearly has been lost by Savage. For whatever his reasons, he seems willing to sacrifice his principals in the heat of battle, risking the outcome of tyranny in the process. Attacking the major players and the most effective soldiers in this battle, he would have us believe Rush is a puppet for Bush and a shill for the GOP. He makes that charge daily, yet in the meantime Limbaugh marches on.. both criticizing President Bush when required, and exposing Liberal Insanity in ways that are clever and bound to be written about in the history books by generations yet to be born. The carelessness of Savage's approach is disturbing and worrisome because it comes from one of us.. or at least one who claims to be one of us..

No More Call Screener Protection

Enter Mark Levin, an amazing conservative talker that simply eats liberals for lunch with abandon using huge amounts of humor and passion. He relentlessly destroys phony liberal concepts and exposes the schemes they typically try to force on the rest of us.. while exempting themselves.. (For which the Contract with America was designed to prohibit..). In their small minded and hateful world everyone else needs to fall in lock step with the rules they set down for us.. in their never ending attacks against our liberty.. and property and sometimes our lives.. But now the libs have Mark Levin to deal with in addition to Rush and the growing number of commentators well versed in the tactics required to defeat the mindless hatred promulgated by the predictable liberal mindset. Their mission is to simply shine the light of truth upon the Stalinist/Marxist/Socialist/Liberals and watch them scatter like rats.. Levin a Constitutional lawyer, founder of the Landmark Legal foundation is the author of "Men in Black" which is an eye opening analysis of the dangers of the left tilting Supreme Court. For those interested in how the courts have gone well beyond their Constitutional authority this book is definitive. It is thoroughly researched and flawlessly analyzed in it's hard hitting conclusions. His current book is "Rescuing Sprite a Dog Lovers Story of Joy and Anguish", is a best seller, (Number One on the NY Times), and is about as non political as a book can be.. but beyond that book and when Mark has his political game face on.. watch out if you are a liberal. He has done his homework. His factual and logical approach at exposing liberalism for the dangerous garbage it is.. is done with huge amounts of humor and an ability to mock those that demand to be mocked.. and he does so with the passion of man on a mission from God.

Mike Savage's audience may not hear the defenders of Rush or Sean as he attacks them.. but that is where his immunity ends. Now, our knight in shinning armor, the clean up hitter, "The Great One" himself, Mr. Mark Levin comes to the defense of Rush and the other conservative targets of Savage. Levin has Savage in his sights and he is taking no hostages. He is doing what Rush and Sean are just too polite to do, in order to set the record straight and defend themselves against Savage's attacks. Mark is amazing in his sharp witted observations to "push back the liberal hordes," while simultaneously cutting out the cancer of liberalism with the skill of a surgeon armed with a laser-tipped scalpel as he dissects, not just liberals but now Savage as well. He mocks and in general just gives Savage pure Hell. His positions, lies and declarations that smack of a liberal bent in the mis-portrayal of Limbaugh are exposed for what they are. It is an amazing sight to behold. Calling him "Wiener Nation" a take off on "Savage Nation" and bringing to light the fact that his real name is not Michael Savage, but Michael Wiener instead, (Wikopedia). Who knew?

Not only does Mark go head to head with Savage, uh I mean Wiener, but does so in the same time slot as well. Mark is heard from 6 pm to 8 pm Eastern while Savage is on from 6pm to 9pm Eastern. His audience is growing by leaps and bounds and is now the number three most listened to show and fastest growing talk show in radio, giving Savage one more slot to overcome in his poorly conceived strategy to take the number one slot. And for the record Mike.. It ain't going to happen. You made a huge blunder in thinking you could take out El Rushbo by distorting his words and presenting yourself as the alternative to Rush. But you failed to comprehend what made his audience so large and so loyal. You really made a huge blunder in thinking you could pull the wool over their eyes and no one would notice that your gambit was based on lies. The idea that Ditto-Heads would listen to Rush and know exactly what he said and what he meant, and then a few hours later, hear you mis-quote and mis-represent his words and meanings was just a joke. But the joke is on you. You see, his audience has a very finely tuned ability to sniff out phonies and plastic bananas like Al Gore, John Kerry and those of their ilk.. and now you. You simply have underestimated and utterly failed to grasp the depth to which his audience is attuned to Truth, Facts, Integrity and Honesty.. The cornerstone of what binds the Ditto-Heads together. That group of people are sharper than you have ever imagined and to think you could lie or insult them into your good graces eventually crowning you the leader of Conservative thought.. was poorly thought out. It was an unbelievable move that you may well never recover from.

Not that you can't overcome it.. it is possible because you have such good potential. But Mr. Savage in all honesty, you have earned the label that Mark Levin has bestowed upon you, the label of "False Prophet".. and for you to overcome that accurate and poignant label is going to be harder than NOT talking about your meat ball recipes..

Good Luck Sir. I truly wish you the best and would love nothing better than to see you get your mind right.. and not cling to absurd positions simply because they allow you to claim your "independence". Especially when it causes you to sacrifice the Truth in exchange for that independent label you prize. I assure you that having you on our side again would be wonderful. The question is can you recognize not only that the enemy is freedom-killing liberalism.. while recognizing at the same time, that the soldier you find in the fox hole right next to you.. is NOT the enemy?
