Is Mike Vick's Property Home to Dog Fighting?

Tyler Foster
Atlanta Falcon quarterback Mike Vick has had his share of problems, but his latest involvement with questionable activities could land him in some real trouble. Police found a large number of dogs during a recent drug raid on a property owned by Vick. The dogs were in bad shape with many of them suffering from neglected injuries and malnourishment. While Vick was not on the scene at the time of the raid and it doesn't appear he lives in the house, you have to believe he knew about what was happening on his property.

Vick's cousin, Davon Boddie, currently lives in the house and may be part of a group involved in dog-fighting. Rumors have swirled around Vick in the past accusing him of being involved in organized dog fighting. It will be interesting to see what reaction this draws from rookie NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell. This will be Vick's second run-in with law enforcement since the disappointing end of last season. Earlier this year, Vick was caught at Miami International airport trying to dispose of a water bottle thought to be concealing marijuana.

What may be more interesting is to see how Falcon owner, Arthur Blank, handles this situation along with new coach, Bobby Petrino. The Falcons traded away their number two quarterback, Matt Schaub, during the off-season and do not have a viable back up with playing time in the Atlanta system. Vick is popular with Atlanta fans, but many felt Schaub was as good a quarterback, if not better, in terms of traditional NFL passing ability. All the recent off-field distractions from Vick probably cancel out any advantages he had over Schaub.

A larger question is how many other players may be involved in dog fighting? It is unclear whether or not any of Vick's teammates, or even Vick himself, was involved in the dog fighting that took place with the dogs found on Vick's property. What is clear is the fact some NFL players have an apparent interest in this barbaric activity. It's hard to imagine what thrills these players get from watching dogs maul each other that they can't get in playing in front of millions of fans for multi-million dollar contracts in the National Football League. Maybe it is simply part of the overly-aggressive atmosphere created by football. Hopefully this is an isolated incident that Vick was detached from entirely. Many people are refusing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not sure that's fair.

Hello Everyone! I have had a brilliant property experience; they were true to their word ?Property done properly?. I was impressed as soon as I went on their website http://www.ipbre.com all their country profiles were totally free of charge, and they had over 50 countries, further more the profiles were highly detailed and informative. International Property Brokers offered me a personal service which saved me money, time and effort; making my investment in property cost effective, time efficient and stress free. I was assigned a dedicated Account Manager; a single point of contact for all my property needs, 24 hours a day! They claimed that ?Your Account Manager will support and guide you through the entire process, and answer any questions you may have?. I found that promise hard to believe, but they were true to their word, they advised me in all the aspects of my potential sale and purchase for both properties in the UK and international property developments.

Apologizing doesn't fix it...Dogs have hearts too and deserve to be treated with respect. They are as loyal as they come - can't say that about "people" - Vick!

I do not think Michael Vick should get time for this not at all. I agree this is just to make an exmaple out of someone, plain an simple. Yes I like dogs but on the otherhand they don't make this big issue out of murders that take place in out country and half are unsolved. Please lay off Michael Vick, enough already. Yes he got caught up with the so called home boys that turned on him.
