Nero 9 is a full fledged application for burning your CDs and DVDs. It has lot of cool features compared to its previous versions. It is also capable for playing and modifying audio and video that includes HD too. Not to forget Nero 8. It served all our purposes. When ever Nero gets their upgraded version it has to be special as new exciting features are appended. Though features of Nero 9 are worth appreciating, one may not find a reason to get this version of Nero installed on their desktops and laptops.
The distinguished change found was removal of word Ultra from title text. Few effective changes such Nero Startsmart application launch which assist you for playing audio and videos files. You will notice new Autobackup function that will run in background process. Both these modules are embedded with in launch center itself hence you need not start different applications for different tasks.
Autobackup functionally operates in two modes, online and offline. You have a choice to backup stuff online which will cost you $ 1 approximately each month. Rate differs according to plan you chose. Other option such as offline mode allows you to take a backup on your hard disk drive itself. Nero has also changed its Show time DVD playback module which removed all dull features from previous versions.
If you eager for knowing more tweaks and tricks you easily refer online help available. It was expected that Nero 9 would have a complete facelift. But expectations were not fulfilled. You won't notice the changes in design at all.
One exciting feature of Nero 9 is its ability to save audio and video tracks to MP3 format. This can be done with utmost ease. Another feature includes introduction of Gracenote instead of CDDB for maintaining artist related information such as track and album. You will also see a TV gadget for vista sidebar then the Ad spotter which will assist you to find and delete all commercials in video recordings. A prescan feature will help you to watch preview of video straight from Digital video camera.
Nero when compared to its previous version is much better. With all new features its a simple tool for any newbie. You can upgrade to Nero 9 with mere $ 60.But if you ask for a genuine suggestion, I would recommend to wait for Nero 10.
