Is Obama Really "Unbeatable?"

Snidely Whiplash
While the 2012 POTUS election is 17 months away, the general media consensus is Obama is unbeatable...why? How can he be unbeatable? Frankly I don't believe he can't be beaten...in fact I believe he's ripe for a spanking.

Barack Obama won election in 2008 on two specific issues...he was the anti-Bush and he won the popularity contest. I think the "anti-Bush" aspect is self-explanatory...8 years of Bush fatigue, Katrina, 2 wars and then the sub prime fiasco 6 weeks before the general election, and more then likely Jesus would have been defeated by Obama.

Barack Obama, in terms of actual experience, is the most inexperienced president in generations when we examine his pre-presidency resume. But when we examine the machine that promoted him as the newest and great thing ever, we see it was his almost complete lack of a record that allowed media to forward him as the savior. So, in retrospect, how's that working out?

With the reelection less than 17 months away Obama does not have the advantages he had in 2008...this time he has a concrete record upon which he must run. No more can media, although damn they sure do try, pass him off as the greatest thing since oxygen. Now with a real record to measure against his alleged "post partisan" nonsense we see his reelection will fall back onto one thing and only one...his popularity.

I confess to shaking my head in total disbelief. The entire appeal of Obama this time around is popularity and nothing more. He cannot base any appeal upon any stellar record of accomplishments, for there are none. Recall:

He was going to make the US loved all over the world...he failed miserably.

He was going to go through the budget line by line and cut government...that was a complete lie and now he is running deficits as much as four times higher than any single year deficit Bush ever ran. Remember in February of this year the budget shortfall was $223 Billion dollars for one month alone, and the total Bush deficit for the entire year of 2007 was $161 Billion, so clearly Obama is inept or lied like a Persian rug...pick whichever suits ya. I mean Obama's deficit of $1.6 TRILLION is a mere TEN TIMES higher than Bush's 2007 deficit.

He was going to heal much of the racial divide in this nation...instead we have incessant screams that to disagree with Obama proves one a racist.

He was going to unite all of us. He would play post partisan politics to be inclusive...in reality we have him making speeches saying Republicans need to sit in the back of the bus while he fixes the mess. Does that sound post partisan? That sounds rather arrogant and denigrating to me. He's also been the most divisive president in my life with his constant attempts at dividing us into sub groups of race, ethnicity and especially class.

He was going to put people back to work...in fairness he did inherit a deepening recession, but the truth is his actions and initiatives have exacerbated the entire mess. Any chance people will recall that when Obama had both houses of Congress he ran deficits that dwarfed any ever run before in our history? Anyone recall any of this?

He has specifically alienated our two closest allies in the world - Great Britain and Israel. He is now directing military actions in four foreign countries and by my math that twice as many as that evil Bush was using US military power in. He was going to close Gitmo in one year. His stimulus programs have only deepened the recession by increasing our debt. In fact since the first stimulus America has lost almost 2 million jobs and that's entirely on him and not Bush.

Given the foregoing facts, can Obama run on his record in 2012? Clearly no, but that still leaves his personal popularity which is amazingly high considering the job he's done as president. Of course the hopeful leftist media are in his corner so they cover for his weaknesses and amplify any success he may have, and they nonstop forward how wonderful and intelligent he is. I mean Bush wasn't eloquent, but Obama stutters and stammers sans teleprompter, but media doesn't seem to notice that at all...hmmm, selective reporting? According to his supporters all the stammering and the "ahhhs" in his off the cuff speaking are signs of "thoughtfulness." What a crock!

The only positive I can offer for reelecting Obama is based on a 1972 Nixon reelection slogan. Anyone recall what I think is the cleverest denigrating slogan against Nixon in '72? "Don't change Dicks in the middle of a screw; vote for Nixon in '72." Remember that one?

Well here's one applicable for Obama..."Don't stop this bus on it's road to Hell; vote for Obama in 2012!"
