Is President-elect Barrack Obama Eligible to Be President?

Richard McDuff
It seems that our Supreme Court is being bogged down with cases challenging the eligibility of Preseident-elect Barrack Obama's being President of the United States. Since the election in November, there have been many cases challenging his place of birth, even whether his birth certificate from Hawaii is a forgery. .

According to Associated Press Leo Donofrio of East Brunswick, N.J. just lost his emergency appeal in the Supreme court claiming that President Elect Barrack Obama was not eligible to be president because his father was from Kenya, and his mother was American. Donofio claimed that both parents had to be American citizens, in order for President-elect Barrack Obama, to be President. Even though there was no brief from the magistrates explaining their decision. It seems that Donofio forgot one vital element - Barrack Obama was born in Hawaii on April 4th, 1961, therefore making Barrack Obama an American citizen.
The next case before the Supreme Court, is whether President Elect Barrack Obama's birth certificate is a forgery. Philip J. Berg of Lafayette Hill, Pa., claims that Obama was actually born in Kenya, which would make him ineligible to be President of the United States. Philip Berg further claims that Barrack Obama's birth certificate is a forgery. Berg also claims that President Elect Barrack Obama could also be a citizen of Indonesia, where he lived as a boy.
Federal Courts in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Washington have turned down similar cases that challenge Obama's eligibility of being President, because there is some debate on his place of birth. .
Hawaii Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino and the state's registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, both claimed that they have checked health department records and have determined that there is no doubt that President Elect Barrack Obama was indeed born in Hawaii on April 4th, 1961. There is also an announcement of Obama's birth, including his parents' address in Honolulu, that was published in the Honolulu Advertiser on Aug. 13, 1961. It would seem that he indeed does meet the criteria for being the President of the United States.
So, what is the eligibility for being President of the United States. Only native-born U.S. citizens (or those born abroad, but only to parents who were both citizens of the U.S.) may be president of the United States. Also, one must live in the United States for at least 14 years to be president, in addition to being a natural-born citizen.

the fact that anyone would question the eligability of a person that a nation clearly wants to be their next president seems to me to be an act of treason. lets round up these right wing radicals and let them spend the next several years trying to survive in a less hospitable climate. i'm thinking guantanamo bay must have a few beds open
