Just recently, I came across a series of websites that promise free computers. After signing up for the site the truth of the terms came out. Terms of Service were quite clear. Sign up for 1 offer and refer 18 people and you get this computer that you choose. For the skeptics out there, I decided to follow through with this and find out myself whether this was legitimate. I have to tell you, I did in fact receive this computer a brand new Sony Vaio. There is a downside and that is that you can only get 1 computer so I really screwed myself with this deal by going for the cheapest machine I found.
If there is anyone out there interested in knowing what site I am talking about well, I'll reveal that now for you. Notebooks4free that is the site, take a chance and you will most likely be just as shocked as I was.
To give you some details, as I said the computer is a Sony Vaio, 120GB hard Drive, 1GB Memory, 1.8GHZ Duo Corp Processor, with a DVD/RW drive. Retail value is $1700. Being honest here I am going to tell you now, that the offer I completed was a trial offer with Blockbuster.com for $9.99.
I've tried many websites online that have been scams and this is the first one that actually does what they say. However, there is one area of concern since there are many sites like this one, which ones are honest? How many gambles are worth taking? Well, if you don't have the money to go out and buy a brand new computer this one is worth the gamble.
This has become a hobby of mine and I've now figured that I would start sharing the results of my findings with people. Since I am not a professional writer, not do I work for the media in any way this seems like the best way to get the word out and bring the truth out about these websites.
For those of you who choose to follow my writing and take the gamble, I wish you good luck and I will continue to bring you new information about new sites that I find whether legitimate or not.

Post a CommentI've heard of these free computer deals and they usually make it really tough to get. I remember hearing of people who took enough offers to get a free computer and only ONE person got it, the rest was ignored and made them angry. This happened a long time ago though.
I always say" If it's too good to be true, it is probably a scam or won't last" I also say " Some things are harder than they seem."
Good luck to you on your research. I'm not going to push anyone into even thinking about this before doing their own research. I'd expect nothing less. I simply felt on passing along my little fortune and giving others something more to think about.
You have to get 18 friends to sign up and do an offer. If you can get that much cooperation than more power to you.
Interesting. I saw this before, but, like you was skeptical. After reading this, I have to admit I'm not completely convinced, but am a little less skeptical and I'm interested to find out through my own research. Good article. :)
