Out of Touch with Reality

Kurt Evans
With unemployment soaring to record heights and the recent struggle by the Democratic Party to pass an extension of unemployment benefits, one has to ask the question, Is the Republican Party out of touch with reality and The American People?

Shipping Jobs Overseas

Recent times have more and more companies shipping jobs overseas where they can get cheaper labor. Is this done out of greed or necessity?

Bailouts

Due to the recent bailouts of the financial sector in the United States, where the bailouts drew attention to the bonuses of the people that caused the financial crisis, the justification for these people to get their enormous bonuses, was that it's in their contract and that's why they had to give it to them.

Greed

From the layperson's perspective, we know that this is a bunch of bull because contracts are broken all the time and nothing is written in stone. The reason that these people got their bonuses was because of their tremendous greed for money and their lack of caring for other people.

BP Oil And The Little People

The CEO of BP Oil claimed that," we care about the little people." The little people that he was referring to, was, obviously, the people who aren't rich.

The Republican Party

The Republican Party is all about tax breaks for the rich. We can see the greed in their recent hold up of unemployment benefits. They have no problem passing a bill that benefits them, and, God forbid they should have to pass a bill that benefits the quote on quote little people of this country, the people who aren't rich.

The United States Government And Money

Our government, the United States government, has become more and more like organized crime. These days, whenever the government needs more money, they start up the printing presses and print up more money.

The United States

By watching the actions of the United States, other countries have started to form their own union with other countries without the United States, leaving us in the dark.

The Politicians And The Blame Game

While the politicians continue to play the blame game on who's responsible for this mess, there seems to be little or no solutions being offered. You can talk all you want about the importance of education, but, unless you can back your talk with some action, you're just spitting out hot air, which is worthless and meaningless.

The Republicans

The Republicans refer back to President Bill Clinton and try to blame the Democratic Party for this financial fiasco. No consideration is given to the fact that it was under the administration of George W. Bush that the financial bailouts started to happen.

Financial Chaos

Regardless, of who's responsible for all of the financial chaos going on in this country, it's time to sit down at the table and come up with some solutions.

Republican Party

As long as the Republican Party continues to refuse to work with the Democratic Party, I don't see anything happening, for this country, anytime soon. The politicians need to realize that they need to work together to come up with the solutions for the American people. And, we, as Americans, need to realize our rights to vote and exercise them, and vote what is not working, out of office.

Work Together

If we work together in this country, we can change our reality. And, this includes the Republican Party. Do what's right for the American people and put their needs, before your own.

The liberal dems are extemely out of touch with reality. They seem to think bankrupting America is a cute idea.

while i will say republicans are not perfect ( i am a democrat but my party has been taken over by gangsters and prostitutes) passing obamacare with tricky moves over the will of the american people is as if not worse than what repubs did. I agree about the tax breaks but that creates jobs. Democrats want to use the masses ( poor) with offers of free stuff from the minority ( rich) if you really think of it that is almost like saying to american we will make every 10th citizen pay all the bills. most dont care as long as they are not

Wait a second, I just finished reading another one of your articles about taking responsibility for one's own actions and now Republicans are to blame for everything, hmmmm! Just saying . . .

Both parties are out of touch with reality. Before jobs where shipped overseas many companies used the H1B Visa program to bring foreign technology workers into the country and paid them much lower wages than they had been paying US technology workers. This not only drove down the wages of the US technology workers it also put 1 million US technology workers out of work. The H1B Visa program was expanded by both parties.

Republicans are known to employ political tactics that criticize current presidency by praising the good deeds on the past Republican presidency (regardless of how long that was) and condemning the lack of progress made by Democratic presidency. The missing component of this argument is that same can be argued for Republicans, yet they never mention or admit such an issue during Republican presidency.
