Apple is a leading manufacturer of electronic devices, computers, laptops and software. Included on all their operating systems is the Safari and iTunes software. These two software programs are completely independent of each other and are designed to enhance your computer experience. For users who don't already have these software programs, you can get both of these software programs from the Apple website via download.
Safari
Safari is a web browser that allows you to view web pages on your computer. Safari is designed to emphasize your browsing experience. Because of this emphasis, Apple has designed the browser infrastructure to be minimalistic and in some cases all you will see is a scroll bar and the main address bar.

Safari requires all Windows based computers to be running Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or higher. Your processor must be a 500-MHz Pentium class processor or better. Your RAM must have at least 256 MB. If you want to use Cover Flow and Top Sites, you must have a DirectX 9.0 compatible video card with 64 MB of video RAM.
ITunes
ITunes is the audio software that Apple designed for use with the Apple iPod line. This software program has many features including the ability to purchase music and movies. These files are then stored in your iTunes library to be synced to compatible devices at a later time. ITunes does not require any additional software such as Safari in order to be used on your computer.
