Is "The Situation" Leaving "Jersey Shore"

Vinny is out of the "Jersey Shore" house for good it appears. Fans of the show are mulling another question today. Is "The Situation" leaving "Jersey Shore" too? TMZ is reporting that "The Situation" could be leaving the show--apparently wanting to explore other options with his agent.

What would it mean for the "Jersey Shore" franchise to lose two cogs in the popular reality wheel? Would it crash the party and would other reality television stars on the show opt to exit, too?

It's an interesting "Situation" these days for the once overly popular cultural phenomenon. Fans could be worried that "Jersey Shore" has run its course. Perhaps these stars are hoping for a chance to participate in their own reality television spinoff gigs. Amidst rumors the show might actually cast new characters for an additional season, the franchise did move on this season. But it seems things are starting to unravel quite quickly.

These potential recent departures have to make fans wonder if this is truly the beginning of the end for "Jersey Shore." Could the once hugely successful show be its last leg?

If "The Situation" leaves, it's still quite possible the show moves on without a hitch. But it could also be possible the same chemistry that helped the show remain so successful would be altered for good. Vinny walking away could have ignited the process. It could have been the first block to fall.

There's also the possibility that Vinny and "The Situation" could find life after "Jersey Shore" isn't that hot. So it seems even if the show appears to fold because of departures that it could still be re-invented to some extent if those stars have zero success outside of the franchise. One thing is for sure, there is not enough room for each of the "Jersey Shore" cast members to have their own individual reality spin-off. That might be reserved for "The Situation" or "Snooki." And those shows would need a little luck considering the whole is much greater than the individual in this scenario. Maybe "The Situation" will go on the road and tour his famous ads or make it a career of modeling pictures and photos?

If anyone has been typecast, it would be apparent that "The Situation" will most likely always be known as the cast member for "Jersey Shore." It seems unlikely that an acting career is in the works unless "The Situation" snags his own reality television series. Given the popularity of the show and his overall popularity, that's not a huge stretch. In other words, we could be watching "The Situation" on his own show-chasing women and showing off the abs that made him ultra famous and even earned him an appearance on "Dancing with the Stars." Or we could eventually see random pictures and photos of "The Situation" in a "where are they now" type columns.
