Is Soulja Boy on Cocaine?

Since when did Soulja Boy start doing COCAINE? While I've heard that "Cocaine is a helluva drug", it still amazes me at the things rappers are doing now. If you haven't heard by now, or just don't really care, Soulja Boy was caught on tape by Kat Stacks with cocaine in his room? Who is Kat Stacks you ask? Kat Stacks is the new superhead! For those of you that remember the infamous Superhead Karrine Steffans, Kat Stacks is of the same breed but for a different generation.

Was Soulja Boy Set Up?

While the evidence was clear as day to see, it may have been false. Sure the cocaine was on the dresser, sure the room was registered to Soulja Boy; however, it could have been someone else's cocaine. The camera phone video that Kat Stacks made of Soulja Boy was crystal clear Click here to see. While you never see the face of Soulja Boy, you can clearly see that it is without a doubt him, unless it's like the "R. Kelly Situation." Through out all of Kat Stacks rambling in the video about how Soulja Boy is a "Cokehead", she only seemed to say one thing that was completely correct, "Soulja Boy is Dumb." Why would Soulja Boy deal with Kat Stacks after hearing about her reputation? Kat Stacks made a name for herself by discussing the sexual affairs and flings she had with rappers such as Lil Wayne, The Game, Fabolous, Young Dro and the list goes on.

How will this Effect Soulja Boy's Career?

While some may say Soulja Boy never had a career in the first place, others would beg to differ. Regardless of your personal option of Soulja Boy, he sells records! That is more than can be said for 90% of rappers in today's market, yes, 90%! Although Soulja Boy has been categorized as a "ringtone rapper", he still manages to produce hit after hit. For most of Soulja Boy's career he's always made music for the young people or "kids"; however; with this recent bad publicity, will they still support him? Soulja Boy entered the rap game young, at 16, so all of his fans have had a chance to see him grow up, similar to Bow Wow, the only difference is Bow Wow has managed to keep his name out of the same sentence with "Scandal" and "Drugs." Soulja Boy's last album was unlike that of his first one, on his debut album he stuck to his fan base and catered to what they wanted to hear, on his sophomore effort, he branched to far outside of the box by switching his style, which therefore resulted in lower album sales.

Is Bad Publicity Good Publicity?

Is there a such thing as bad publicity? Usually when a rap star goes through a headline scandal of this magnitude, they usually have an album coming out. Maybe it is just the world of rap, but everyone seems to know that, "drama sells!". As I stated that Soulja Boy came into the game young, maybe he is looking to stray away from the particular sound he had on his first effort or appeal to a different fan base. Look at the tattoos, listen to the lyric content....Soulja boy is a changed MAN. This bad publicity may work in his favor for the best, regardless if other rappers are mocking him.
