The most commonly suggested drugs include Statins and over a period of many years the analytical studies show that the use of these drugs has definitely proved to be a success for millions of people around the world. The dosage differs if the patient apart from the cholesterol levels also suffers from any coronary heart disorders and diseases. There are a few cases where in it is a family medical history of having high LDL levels and in such cases the sudden rise is quite possible.

As long as, a person is not in a critical condition, if a daily routine with exercising and good healthy diet is followed one should not have to continue with drugs to regulate cholesterol, of course, unless the physician has advised so. Apart from the exceptional cases where regulating cholesterol is not possible only with exercises and diet, drugs have proved to be a boon.
