Like I said technology advances are the best thing that can happen to the world as we know it, but it also has negatives. With laziness come many different problems one of which being obesity. Now maybe if we had everything done for us obesity wouldn't be a big deal because we would only have to move when we wanted to. However that is not the way the world is right now, and we are no where close to that point.
Vehicles are pretty much a necessity in today's world, but they are one of the things that makes the world so lazy. What happened to taking a walk around the block to your destination? Now a days everyone has a car that they can and do take everywhere, even if it is just down the street. While the technology in cars may have made people a little lazier, it has no doubt made them much safer. All you ever hear about new vehicles is that they have a certain crash test rating, and have a lot of different air bags. So while the new innovations in cars may make people lazier, there is no way around the fact that cars will always be used, so maybe the innovations in safety are more important then the lazy factor.
Cars are obviously not the only piece of technology that makes people lazier. In fact cell phones have led people to be lazier. The reason being that no matter where you are you can make a call. While that may be more convenient it make people lazier as in the past one would actually have to go and meet with people for conversation.
Another form of technology that adds to laziness is the television for obvious reasons. The television takes away from many other activities, such as just plain going outside. With the rise in different stations, and the many different things you can do with your television including video games, more and more people are watching more and more television.
While some people may argue that technology has made people a lot lazier then in the past, one cannot look past the fact that one technology has made life somewhat simpler, and two it has made life safer. In vehicles the different crash tests and air bags make traveling a lot safer, and cell phones and other things make like a lot easier. The truth is that technology has made people lazier, but it only becomes a real problem when people let it.
