Is There a GOD?

According to history, the age old question still exists. Is there a GOD? Is there one who has ultimate control over the universe? Is there one who can create life and cut it off in the blink of an eye? According to the bible (KJV) John1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD. John1:2 The same was in the beginning with GOD. John1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Our focus now is John 1:3. "All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made." This is telling us GOD created all things and without him nothing was made. If this outlines that the supreme GOD created everything then where are all these other theories coming from?

As time went on from the beginning of time as we know it, different opinions were developed on how creation came to be. Scientists have their opinions, people have their opinions and many religions have their opinions but who is right? Is there really a supreme being out there? People have testified that they know that there is an unseen eye out there controlling everything but when asked they cannot show the face of this supreme being. People want to see first before they will believe what they are told. Is there anything wrong with this? No but , when it comes to certain things you must see if you can open your mind and investigate for yourself to find out the truth. No one has seen GOD regardless of the desires of many. Once they see then they feel they can believe.

What many don't realize is that GOD is a spirit and he can't be seen. John 4:24 (KJV) "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." GOD can only be heard and felt. How can people hear GOD? He is almighty and anything almighty packs a punch when speaking or moving and that he does. Psalm 29:4 (KJV) "The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic." He speaks frequently through the thunder trying to relay a message people just don't get. He is trying to let people know that there is someone beyond what the human eye can see running things and that is how it will always be. Psalm 29:3 "The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the GOD of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters." How can GOD be felt? He can be felt through the visitation of his spirit. You have to rid yourself of all the cares you hold dear to in this world that may separate you from him and concentrate on being close to him. You must be sincere and ask him to prove to you that he is for real. Surely you will get a visit you will never forget.

Why won't people consider believing this? Some people want only what they see to be a major factor for them. If they can't see it, it ain't there. Have your belief because I do respect it but GOD is real and all the proof is in the pudding. Just like we can believe in most of the people who came before us and did amazing things to make the world better we can believe in a heavenly father. What will it cost you to try? If you really want to be convinced that he is who people say he is, try what is explained in the latter part of the previous paragraph and be sincere.
