Are you bored with your work? Boredom is often a sign that you need a career change. You can make lots of money, or have a prestigious position but if you are bored you eventually won't like your job. Everyone wants a job where they feel like they are making a contribution to the world. They want a job that they feel matters in the world. Boredom could very much be a reason to change your career.
Are you unhappy with your work? Being unhappy with your work is a problem that may cause you to change career. Their lots of reasons that you could be unhappy. Whether you just don't like the work, or the work requires too much physical labor or if is an issue of money. If you're not happy with your job you won't stay their long. Find work that you love. Find work that won't seem like work.
Are you not living your dream? Everyone has a dream for their life. If you're honest with yourself their is something that you have dreamed about doing with your life. Many people end up doing something else, and that's fine if you are content. However if you are constantly wondering if you could have accomplished your dream, or if you should have went down a different career path, perhaps it's time to make a change. Even if you are not successful, at least you will not have to wonder, what if.
Do you want to make more money? Money is often a big reason from making a career choice. If you've been unhappy about the amount of money you make, or simply want to make more than this may be your reason to change career. Be careful with this choice. Finding work you enjoy should always be part of your decision as well. It is very possible to find a job making lots of money but still be unhappy. Consider this carefully before making a switch for this reason.
There are many other reasons for switching careers. Ultimately you need to determine what will make you happy. Find something that is rewarding and that pays what you want. Don't be afraid of making the change. While there may be challenges involved, ultimately, it will be well worth it.
