Is Tom Felton's Debut Single a Serious Attempt to Break into the Music Scene?

Everyone knows Tom Felton best for playing Draco Malfoy in the "Harry Potter" movies, but today, his debut single, "Hawaii" was revealed for the first time. After hearing it, one can't help but wonder....is he really serious?

Tom Felton's fans will know that he has always been into music. His website, Feltbeats, which has news about the star, also holds many videos of him performing some of his tracks. His guitar playing is beautiful but his voice and lyrics could use some work.

His debut single, "Hawaii" is a rather jovial track, but it almost sounds like a spoof attempt at music making. The lyrics are quite comical, a bit like The Streets, but with a tune instead of monotonous speaking. Tom Felton has an unmistakable speaking voice, but it was not one that was made for recording songs. It's easy to tell who the vocals belong to, but unfortunately, they aren't great.

Tom Felton already has a solid fan base which should guarantee him a few sales, and his love of music is very clear. Many actors have tried to make it as pop stars, with varying degrees of success. It would certainly be a change for him to be himself after ten years of playing a character!
