Is the Truth in You?

Robin Jessie-Green
Half of what you say is a lie

And the other half is only partially true

You say what you think I want to hear

And that is my greatest fear

I will never know what you feel

Because I cannot ascertain what is real

And ultimately it'll be your loss

Because I'm here now

But won't be for long

You've held on tighter to your lies than you have onto me

You'll soon discover

What it costs

When you decide to deceive
