Is the United States Ready to Fall?

Questions and Speculation Regarding the Alleged Downfall of the United States in the Year 2010

Misha
Russian Professor Igor Panarin has been alleging for the past ten years that the United States of America will fall in the year 2010. Panarin gives a multitude of reasons as to why this will happen but is it possible? Some spectators and analysts say it is likely due to the financial crises we have found ourselves in. Others say that it is very unlikely. I have done the research, you may decide for yourself.

Professor Panarin is not some common man off the streets of Russia. He is well educated and versed within the world and politically savvy. Panarin served as a KGB analyst and currently serves as the dean of the Russian Foreign Ministry academy for future diplomats. (Wall Street Journal, 2008)Needless to say Panarin has the experience and knowledge to make these types of predictions.

According to Panarin, he alleges that there is currently a "55-45 %" chance of the downfall of the United States at this point. So why does this Professor care about how the downfall of the United States will impact Russia? He cares because if this comes true, it will of course the world as we know it. Panarin believes the Russia would of course become more powerful in the world but they would also feel the pain of the economic crunch if our dollar becomes worthless. (Wall Street Journal, 2008)

Panarin believes that the reason our country will fall will be in direct correlation to the "mass immigration", "economic decline", and "moral degradation". Panarin claims that with all of these factors in place we will experience a complete collapse of civilized society and break out into civil war. (Wall Street Journal, 2008)

After all if we examine each of these factors one by one, we would understand the depth of trouble we face as a country, even without the fear of a total collapse.

The massive immigration problem has been a substantial drain on our economy. While there are some immigrants who do pay taxes, most undocumented immigrants do not pay taxes. Therefore, the services utilized by undocumented immigrants cause a financial strain on our schools, hospitals and other public systems that offer assistance to immigrants.

The economic decline is not hard to miss. The foreclosure rate is absurd and politicians have done very little to correct the market problem. The housing builders continued to build even though few people were and are buying. The government began to make it its personal business to bail out Wall Street, and in a sense nationalizing our banking systems. The government has done little to relieve the pain of the working class people. With millions of job cuts and more to come, we are headed for tumultuous times regardless of who is in charge.

Moral degradation is the decline of the way that people behave in a civilized manner, and becoming corrupt due to the poor quality of representatives we have chosen to represent us in our government. While there are some people who would argue that we have become a morally degraded country due to the lack of religion, many people would disagree. However, there is one that that is obvious there are large pitfalls within the government that have allowed for things to become chaotic and out of control.

So what can we expect if the United States falls? Panarin believes that it will come to pass in the year 2010 in the month of June or July. He also predicts that the United States will be broken into four factions. There will be a California Republic, a Texas Republic, The Central North American Republic, and the Atlantic America. He also believes that Alaska will revert to control, and Hawaii will revert to either Japan or China.

While some people are laughing and ignoring the signs of a possible collapse, many experts are not finding this amusing. Emmanuel Todd is a French Political scientist who predicted the downfall of the Soviet Union fifteen years prior to the collapse. People laughed at him at that time. However people are not laughing at Professor Panarin, in fact they are interviewing the Professor up to two times a day to discuss his views regarding the impending collapse.

I read about this the other day. Apparently he's been making predictions like this for a decade, but no-one has wanted to pay attention till now, that combined with these % chances he's throwing out makes this a joke. I could say that I predict a 50% chance of an earth quake in Cali in the next 10 years- one day it would be true. History does repeat itself, and one day the US won't be the worlds superpower, but it's not going to break up into these little groups. Florida joining Texas, and Kentucky joining the Euro Alliance? Right.
