Is the World Really White and Black?

Let's get right to the point here. I'm a 37 year old black woman. I have 2 kids. A girl (20) and a boy (15), both of them 100% black. I grew up between Los Angeles and Chicago with the majority and basis of my upbringing being in Chicago. I understand that as black people we've had to fight for equality. And believe it or not we are still fighting for equality. Equality may be a never ending fight for us as Black people.

My first problem would be with our "new" classification - African American. It would seem to imply that I came from Africa and am now a US citizen. How much further from the truth could you be? I was born right here in the US. My family is not from Africa and has never been to Africa. So, how did I become African American? I'm willing to guess this is what they say is politically correct. I'm here to tell you its bull@#%*! I am a natural born citizen, as are my parents, their parents and so on. So this crap about being African American is just that crap.

I grew up in a broken home so to say. My parents were separated my whole life and as not to involve the courts they made an agreement that I would alternate years living with each of them. I lived the even school years with my dad and the odd ones with my mom. In fifth grade there was a change of plans. I stayed sixth grade with my mom also. Then since there was this new found tension my dad came to visit me. Well, I ended up going back to Chicago with him.

In Chicago, very different from LA mind you, we lived in a predominantly white neighborhood. When I was in middle school, there were less than 30 black kids in a population of about 500. So, we did have to do more to prove ourselves. I remember like it was yesterday. I was in social studies class and there was a classmate typical white kid "blonde hair blue eyes" that made fun of the way I talked. He said to me 'It's asked not axed!'

In Los Angeles I lived right in South Central. This I know now at the time I had no clue. Los Angeles was kind of the opposite of Chicago. There was more of a blend of people, although we did live in a heavily black populated area.

I still remember this kid's name. I remember everything about that whole awakening and realizing who I was. I had to realize that I wasn't seen as a 7th grader going to school like the white kids. I was seen a one of the black kids that goes to our school. As the years went on there were more and more black kids added to our population but, it was so different they were even snubbed by us the black kids that already had managed to fit in.

As I look back upon it now, we did all we could to keep up with the white kids instead of just being ourselves. We made sure we spoke and dressed properly. There were so many things that the white kids were able to do, that if us as black kids tried it we would definitely be in big trouble but, we made our own ways and I think we are better people for it!

Today our society has gone by the wayside. People's lack of morality is what gets my blood boiling. When I grew up people had morals, there were things that you do and things that you don't do! Now it seems as if people don't believe that they have to cohort, they think that can exist alone.

My second problem is what is with all these white women who are trying to look like black women. They get tans, boobs, booty's, and the lip injections tops it all off. At that same middle school I spoke of earlier my name was listed in the 'slam book' under biggest lips. At the time that offended me big time! Over the years I've learned the word -- WHATEVER.

So really what's up with the tanning and lying out? Why risk skin cancer to be like a group of people that the country has made second class citizens for most of their existence. Is it that you were harassing and belittling because you were jealous and wanted to be like us? Well there is a strong possibility that some of that may ring true. I'm not sure of the motivation but, I do notice that as much as they speak ill of black women they try to be like us.

Ok I might as well just go all the way there -- they even take our men! I'm not prejudice but, I do believe in dating, marrying, and multiplying with your own people. Why would I say something so racist you ask? Let me explain myself.

Then black men have babies with the white women, those babies are mixed no longer consider black. Now that we have overwhelming immigration rates (I will speak more in depth on this later), the percentage of black people is dwindling. As you continue to water down our black population, eventually it's all washed out! Yes, extinct! We will be what are known as the endangered human species.

I have a Grandson, A'nyan who will soon be 2. I truly believe that by the time he reaches my age the number of black 'looking' children to have two black parents will be ZERO! Then how do we replenish our race? We don't we will be on our way to non existence.

That's the problem I have with all this immigration. It's so nice for us to want to share our country and welcome people with open arms but, isn't it overkill at this point? We barely have enough resources for ourselves the NATURAL born citizens. Let alone to keep allowing immigrants to come and stay!

I live in Los Angeles now. You might as well call this an extension of The United Nations! Our communities and schools are overwhelmed with illegal immigrants! It's harsh to say but really true. We have no more room! Everything here is translated in Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, and other languages. Ok let's be realistic. If I move to Mexico, my kids and I better well know Spanish because they are not going to be translating for us. Why? Because Spanish is their native language and if you want to live there you better learn Spanish. And that goes for any other country, other than, the good old USA!

Why do we cater to immigrants and shun our own people? I'm not quite sure of the answer to that question but, I'm sure there are some justifications for this behavior.

The thing with most immigrants that I see is that they think that they are better than black people. Of course, that pisses me off! I'm a natural born citizen to the country you are trying to gain acceptance to and you turn your nose up at me?!! How dare you!

I've only seen this with the Hispanic communities - disrespect to our American Flag! If you love your country and are proud of your country, the place to display your flag is there in your country not here from your big SUV's or on your lawn. The only flag to be on display here in America is the American Flag, other than, of course embassy offices.

I'm not sure in the direction of which we are headed but we need to stop along the way and check ourselves, for soon it will be too late to turn back.
