Isla Fisher Marries Sacha Baron Cohen
Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen met at a party in Sydney during 2002. The long engagement is said to be because Isla was converting to Judaism for Sacha. Last week they married in a private Jewish ceremony where only family was invited. Once home, Isla Fisher, reportedly emailed friends telling them about her recent marriage. According to People.com she stated that she "had a great time, missed their presence there with them, but the ceremony was very low key." Without notifying so many people before their ceremony the couple was able to slip under the radar of the Hollywood paparazzi.
Raised in Australia with four brothers, Isla Fisher, lives a relatively low key life. In the past she had made statements regarding that she is a "typical Aussie" and she thrives on living a non Hollywood lifestyle. Fisher, 34, is most known for her work in "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and the "Wedding Crashers." Her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, is most known for his role in , "Borat." Cohen, 38, was born and raised in England.
Many people often confuse Isla Fisher with Amy Adams. Adams, is widely known for her role in Disneys "Enchanted." Fisher and Adams are often compared to one another due to their similar looks and choice in movie roles. Fans often say that the only way they can tell them apart is to check their eyes. Fisher has brown eyes whereas Adams has blue eyes.
Regardless of what kind of ceremony they choose we are happy for both Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen. We also hope they had a nice holiday surrounding their wedding because a honeymoon may be on hold for the couple. Isla is already back working in London. Currently she is working on her upcoming role in Joe Landis' film, "Burke and Hare."
