Despite CAIR's demands, event organizer, Senior Chief Petty Officer Geoff M. Ross, United States Navy retired, and the host organization, the Emerald Coast Tea Party Patriots, are proceeding with the event.
Ross sent the following letter to supporters:
Dear Patriots,
The leadership at the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) have asked me to prevent Mrs. Brigitte Gabriel from speaking at my U.S. Constitution and Freedom Rally on August 21st at the Emerald Coast Conference Center in Fort Walton Beach Florida. They are also trying to stop local politicians from speaking, too. They do not like the message and wish to muzzle the 1st Amendment rights of Mrs. Gabriel and others wishing to speak. In the harshest tone, I decline their request.
I do offer the President of CAIR the microphone and the stage and give him the opportunity to speak at my event. He can tell us all about Shariah law.
Ross continues the letter by quoting news events that do not reflect well on Sharia Law including the story of a New Jersey Judge who excused the rape of a woman by her husband because Sharia law says it's OK. Thankfully, an appellate court overturned the outrageous ruling.
Red the full story by Pat Archbold here.
A staunch defender of the U.S. Constitution, Ross questioned a CAIR representative about placing Shariah law above the U.S. Constitution. The representative replied, "Practicing Muslims always place Shariah Law ahead of the Constitution when following their religion." CAIR promotes infusing Sharia Law into the U.S. judicial system.
Why Do Muslims and CAIR Hate Brigitte Gabriel and the Mission of Act for America?
Americans should be aware of what is happening in local communities as mosques and Islamic centers spread. Brigitte Gabriel's mission is to inform Americans. She founded ACT! for America "because Islamic militants have declared war on America. I know what this means. For years, I witnessed first-hand how brutally jihadists treat non-Muslims."
Brigitte Gabriel's family spent seven years living in a small underground bomb shelter during the Lebanese Civil War as Islamic militants launched an assault on the Lebanese military base near her home. Her personal experience inspired her to found The American Congress for Truth, a not-for-profit organization.
