Islamic Terrorism on the Rise Domestically and Internationally Since Obama Became President in 2009

Marc Schenker
Islamic terrorism is on the rise both domestically and internationally since Obama became President in 2009, according to a count of high-profile, terrorism incidents in 2009, both in the US and abroad. The number of Islamic terrorism incidents worldwide since Obama took office in 2009, including both domestic and international acts of terrorism, is on pace to surpass more than 1000 for all of 2009, according to a report by the American Security Project which is a bipartisan, Washington-based group. On the domestic front, for 2009 when Obama became President, the number of terror-related incidents hit a peak, the highest number since 2001!

The one common thread that this rise in Islamic terrorism has in common-unless, of course, you're a part of the hardcore, pro-Obama cheerleaders in the mainstream, liberal media, or just have been banished to living under a rock for the last little while-is the inauguration of Barack Obama as POTUS in 2009. That is to say that after his swearing in at the beginning of 2009, the number of Islamic terrorism incidents just skyrocketed domestically and internationally. Because of the aggressiveness, excessiveness and methodical nature of the increase, these incidents cannot be simply dismissed as coincidence or a random occurrence without a traceable cause as the liberals and Dems want...no!

When you get down to the proverbial nitty-gritty of a potential catalyst for why this worldwide increase in verifiable acts of Islamic terrorism has seemingly occurred all in the same time frame, one name has to be connected to said increase: Barack Obama. Golly, maybe it's the way he keeps apologizing for the "evil" that is America whenever he's abroad-which, according to some, shows nothing but weakness and acts as a way of emboldening the enemy-or the way he keeps outlawing the use of proper words such as "war" and "terrorism" to accurately describe the enemy that has to be fought...but whatever it is, it sure can't be coincidental that after a president who's widely perceived to be weak on terror is sworn in that terror incidents skyrocket! Can it? Not a chance in hell!

Just observe the implicating video of Obama bowing before the Saudi king last year, bowing so low as to almost be at the waistline of the king. Without doubt, this is not a president whom terrorists will fear unlike Bush:

So given these actions of misconduct by Obama, it's no surprise that the Islamic terrorism activity worldwide breaks down like this for 2009:

Internationally:

The number of terrorist acts in 2009 spikes by almost 50% over 2008 levels to nearly 1000, up from 671. This includes a rushing spike of 220 terrorist attacks in Pakistan alone for the first half of 2009, up from merely 81 in the first half of 2008. Similarly, Somalia saw its terror incidents ferociously climb to 165 in the first half of 2009 from merely 51 in the first half of 2008. Additionally, Afghanistan's terror attacks on civilians are on track to increase by up to 20% in 2009 over 2008's levels.

Domestically:

The number of terrorist incidents in 2009 rose to 12 after a yearly average of just under three per year for all the years under Bush after 911. These incidents include the June attack by Abdulhakim Muhammad at a military recruitment center in Arkansas, murdering one soldier; the Fort Hood terrorism incident by Nidal Hasan, where he murdered 13 in a case of spree-shooting, Islamic terrorism; the plot to bomb targets in NYC by Najibullah Zazi; and the latest one with Abdulmutallab trying to blow up the Detroit-bound plane on Christmas.

I don't know about you, dear reader, but I feel a lot more in danger and less safe than when Bush was commander-in-chief!

As a country we need to demand to stop being lied to about the real threat of Islam. Islam is a violent religion that threatens the foundations of liberty and human rights. Being politically correct is only creating a stronger enemy for the future. The last thing that we need is a presidential apologist.

Once again my favorite "A house divided shall fall". The propaganda against America, carefully fostered by the European Union (for multiple purposes) worked on the people of our own country to cause great division and dissatisfaction. Fools, including the man chosen as our President, fed into this and publicly made this clear to a world who only respected us because of our strength. I will never forget when the news started reporting how "the World" wanted Obama as our President. Why? Because they wanted an American "leader" weak enough to control? Contrary to popular opinion, the war in Iraq is not the cause of America's woes, it itself is just a portion of a master plan per se. The "terrorists" are not the Puppeteers, they are merely the Puppets of a larger intent.

Right on target! I regret the fact that Americans are too mentally lazy to read The Koran (the Dawood translation is best) and learn where our enemies are coming from. Too many Americans have little or no understanding of why we even an armed forces and what it does. If our soldiers in Afghanistan need reinforcements, that means now not a month from now, maybe!

Maybe this was the "change" that he was referring to. Scary if you ask me.

Of course half of it could be that he is Islamic himself.

I agree wholeheartedly, Obama is not a feared President. Many couldn't stand Bush, but he was aggressive in protecting this country. Excellent coverage.

I suspect that 1) the number of incidents may not have increased so much as our knowledge of them, and that 2) any actual increase is unrelated to the change in administrations but to the continuing long-term impact of decades of ill conceived policies abroad. Of course, people will always believe what they will.
