Islamic Terrorist Attack Foiled in Detroit

A Nigerian passenger who was on a Delta international flight from Amsterdam to Detroit attempted to blow up the plane and lucky for us, he failed miserably and was taken down by passengers and his attempt went up in smoke, literally. Meanwhile, the Obama's continue to enjoy their vacation in Hawaii and their White House has labeled the attempt an act of terrorism - that's nice for them to call it that, what else would they name it, a misunderstanding?

The Terrorist did managing to ignite the powder which burned him up a bit - I wonder how many virgins passed through his mind while he was smoldering? However, he did manage to tell investigators that he had links to Al Qaeda which would come as no surprise of why he decided to use terror and decided to enact a terrorist attack in Detroit.

What is amazing about all of this is that ordinary citizens have had many things taken from them, patted from head to toe, before boarding an airliner and yet, this Nigerian Muslim was able to board a plane with powder and some type of explosive. I suppose profiling wasn't in place? But bring up such a subject and liberals are all over the subject like flies on dog excrement.

Undeniably, as the day's progress, you won't be able to turn on the TV without seeing some liberal claiming that yes, this "might" have been a terrorist act but don't worry, Islam is a peaceful religion. We have seen it time and time again as if they are out to score points in an attempt to show compassion for whatever the reason - the war on terrorism just keeps escaping their minds.

Never fear though, Homeland Security Department has announced that passengers may see additional screening measures on both domestic and international flights - does that mean some 90 year old lady will have to show her brassiere again? Did they lower the screening standards that no one knew about? Well certainly the TSA is on top of things - after all, someone in the TSA posted TSA policy and procedures on the Internet - somehow I feel safe already knowing that my metal frame prescription glasses will be confiscated because it could be used as a weapon, or better yet, will have to buy a new pair because of some new mandate that metal frame glasses are now dangerous.

The Homeland Security Department encourages travelers to be observant and aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious behavior the law enforcement - just don't mention that he or she is a Muslim because then you'll be marked as profiling.

The suspects name was entered into a watch list database in 2008 but was never on a no-fly watch list. However, he was added, last month, into America's intelligence community's central repository of information on known suspected international terrorists but only after his father gave a warning about his son's increased fanatical religious terroristic views.

As Department of Homeland Security monitors the situation "closely", Obama will not change his plans in Hawaii - like that's a surprise - citizens as usual will have no idea of what they are looking for. Would anyone have ever thought that this Nigerian guy would be a terrorist as they settled back in their seats? Today's society is increasingly becoming a society of tolerance for everything and touchy feely good diversity syndrome while reserving common sense for little more than what to eat for breakfast.

Instead of pushing political correctness, the Bush administration was aware of this person and did a fine job of keeping him under wraps. However, like the political correctness charade with the terrorist at Ft. Hood, and now that Obama is in charge, all bets are now off concerning the security of this nation, both internal and external. Islamic terrorism is here to stay and we may foil many future attacks but someday, we will miss one and Lord helps us if we do. As long as political correctness and the lack of will to do what is necessary to protect this nation, we will never be safe. America will cease to exist if we continue to deny that Islam is not only a religion, but a political system as well. The attempted terrorist attack from the air in Detroit should remind us that the enemy will never give up and neither should we.

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., stated concerning this latest terroristic attempt, "Any terrorist attempt on our citizens is extremely serious." Thanks, Jay as if it never crossed our minds.
