Isn't it Sad?

Lori Duncan
When His children's' malice is heard
for every hurting word,
The Lord must shed a tear
Isn't it sad?

Though we're children of the Light
In darkness we plot and scheme,
He knows us day or night,
we hide as if unseen
Isn't it sad?

No, Jesus never said
it would be easy.
He never promised a perfect earth
But to Him, every drop of blood
you were worth
Isn't it sad?

How long will you go on,
to your hearts' content and sin?
Will you covet His forgiveness
until the bitter end?
Will His patience ever grow thin?
Isn't it sad?

You slap Him in the face,
that's why He cried,
that's why He died.
Jesus loves you
and went in your place
Isn't it sad?

So love your brothers and sisters
His heart will burst with gladness.
I think He would dance with the angels
instead of enduring the sadness.
Enter My Kingdom
Oh faithful child, here is your home.
My Father and I
have waited a lifetime,
We've loved you all along.
