The writer closes by indicating that just as the Bush Administration's supposed Iraq mistake in the War on Terror has revitalized the terrorist community there, the response of President Bush when reached at his ranch in Crawford was supportive of Israel in this defensive measure, although failing to acknowledge the political ramifications that will result due to the strength of the Israeli "defensive" attack over the long run with respect to ending the conflicts over Gaza. The writer also made reference to the timing of this air strike being undertaken in the waning days of the Bush Administration (a vehement Israel supporter) and his hope that with the change in administration, support for Israel might lessen or Mr. Obama will take a stronger lead with respect to resolving the Middle East conflicts in this region.
I hate to break it to this writer but the wars between the Israelis and militant Muslim factions has continued now for over 2,000 years. The U.S. has now made additional terrorist enemies on behalf of Israel now since World War II. Economically, it profits and satisfies certain private industries in this country that there not be any long lasting Middle Eastern peace. Although a Democratic Congress was elected in 2006 after the American people had spoken about the current conflict in Iraq, it has been refunded by that Congress each and every time it has come up for a vote, and now those costs are being hidden within pork bill legislation. Mr. Bush snuck into Iraq also within this past several weeks and signed an accord with the Iraqi government, from the limited reports which were available, again it would appear without the general knowledge of the American people, or other than a few "in the know" members of Congress calling for the withdrawal of our troops - beginning in 2011, coincidentally during the next presidential election cycle.
Surely you jest that the Middle East situation, or our War on Terror is going to change under an Obama presidency. Mr. Obama has been quite open about his beliefs that we simply need to regroup some of those troops and open a new theatre in Pakistan. Or did this Washington Post writer miss those comments with respect to the Middle East due to the fancy footwork and subterfuges which were a hallmark of this past two year campaigns due to the hooks of both parties, "Hope," "Change," and "Country First," without hearing the message of "no change," "little hope," and "Israel, globalism and oil first?" Or that our own economy took a dive when those candidates both voted for the 700 billion bailout in order to pay back their campaign contributors at the American people's expense, with one wanting to escalate the Iraqi conflict, and the "winner" merely wanting to take those troops and move them around the Middle East like chess pieces in this game of Risk?

Post a CommentI'm conceding that the international bankers love wars for profit, and it really doesn't matter who is at war...and if there is none that also can be politically arranged. As Gaza is nothing more than a fight over property rights and territory, so Iraq is also. So not really a religious or ideology war at all. And tying the Iraq war in with the "commies" shows you haven't moved passed the Cold War to see that it is all about power, control and possession of land and territory and the U.S. is no exception, and actually has little respect at this point with the power rights of it's citizens per the Kelo decision a few years back. We have been in the Middle East under some excuse or another for decades....and Israel and their war has been going on for over 2,000 years, so it's back to the point made in the article which quite obviously you are either purposely ignoring, or have a personal "war" mentality.
bombing graveyards and u.n. puts stock in war for profit idealogy.now I'm done!
are you conceding iraq and gaza are connected?
That's not even in the same league. Doesn't involved unlawful searches and seizures such as police barricade checkpoints. Not even close. Diversion is a great tactic in comparing apples to oranges. Such as the War in Iraq has become. A war was declared against bin Laden and those responsible for 9/11. Now we are in Iraq under false pretenses, while our own borders remain unsecured and wide open. And you also avoided the point that you can't "win" against any enemy who believes dying for their cause is the highest honor.....we wouldn't have won against the Japanese if the entire Japanese military had been kamikaze's. So this continued effort is futile, to say the least, and just exactly in the end what will we have accomplished? Given the next generation enough images to fuel their rage and terrorize our children and then grandchildren? There is justice, and then there is agression without purpose. I bypassed justice and went to aggression in less than 12 short months.
and how about those meter maids?
And you don't think the U.S. is leaning toward communism, with "sobriety" checkpoints, and even "insurance" checkpoints now? With freedom of speech under attack from evey angle? With the Patriot Act and it's provisions? With "if you aren't with us, you're against us" statement of Bush's prior to the invasion of Iraq? Wake up, Daniel. The international banking cartel, the Federal Reserve, is running this country. And exactly how can you win against an enemy that believes that martyrdom earns them their place in heaven. We are giving them exactly what they want with this ill defined war. Think you need a reality check.
Zion good Islam bad ,commies run islam, who runs commies I won't say. theres my article I'm breathing the breath of life.
Get a life, Mr. Barry, and maybe write an article so we can all get a better picture of your take on the Israel situation, Gulf War, and all those before....
is that your final answer!
Actually, what I said was that I had written the article from more of a legal and Constitutional perspective, and not a religious one, and that there were others written from that angle but mine was clearly not one of them. It is and was a critique of our foreign policies from the founder's viewpoint and how far we have strayed in these global alliances, especially with Israel that has gone on now since World War II, and sometimes at our own peril.
