Israel Kills Hamas Supporters Who Attempt to Violate Israel's Marine Blockade of Gaza

I'm glad that the US and the UN are both hostile to Israel. Israel now realizes that it must defend itself regardless of what the world wrongly thinks.

Because Obama has been uncooperative with Israel, he has ensured that Israel is finally free to act independently of US pressure. In this case, the unintended consequences of Obama's "snubs" toward Israel has emboldened them to act swiftly without consulting the US or UN. Good for Israel. They finally have the guts to kill terrorists and their sympathizers! The blockade of Gaza started out 3 years ago because:

Israel and Egypt imposed the blockade on Gaza after Hamas militants violently seized control of the seaside territory in June 2007.

Israel says the measures are needed to prevent Hamas, which has fired thousands of rockets at Israel, from building up its arsenal.

The activists aboard the flotilla defiantly proclaimed:

"We fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation or threats of violence against us," Arraf said. "They are going to have to forcefully stop us."

Hamas is a terrorist organization that has gained control of the Gaza Strip and vows to destroy Israel. Israel responded to violent resistance while attempting to commandeer the "Hamas friendly" flotilla:

The military said in a statement: "Navy fighters took control of six ships that tried to violate the naval blockade (of the Gaza Strip) ... During the takeover, the soldiers encountered serious physical violence by the protesters, who attacked them with live fire."

The Israel Defense Forces said its troops were to forced to react after they came under fire from the activists while intercepting the convoy. Unofficial reports put the death toll at between 14 and 20.

In a related story, Israel has deployed a nuclear submarine in the Persian Gulf off of the coast of Iran. I am hoping that Israel finds the guts to attack and destroy Iran's nuclear facilities before it is too late. While Obama and the rest of the world are busy appeasing Iran, it is up to Israel and Israel alone, to save the world from a nuclear Iran and nuclear armed terrorists.
